That heli was popular in 1991. I did a little checking, I cant find a thing on it other than when they were around. I'm NOT even sure you can get parts anymore.....I did my best and come up empty on this one.

Thanks for looking, I read a post somewhere where someone had a PDF file on one, I'll have to go back and do another search. TN

I think that I have a book for mine. If you can't find anything to download let me know and I'll try to figure out a way to send you a copy.

Here's a pic of my new fuselage. Not the same as the first couple, this is fiberglass. I'm putting a 60a ESC in it when it gets here...this is a EXI-450 Pro with a shaft driven tail.

That would be great if you could find a way to copy it, I would gladly reimburse you for copying or postage. TN

Hi crashcrash :=}
I want to know if you have been flying your shaft drive pro heli much, if so have you had any problem with the exi-tail rotor housing cracking.
I also would like to know where you are mounting your receiver & esc, etc , from the pictures they give on their site it don't look like there's any room on the inside of the frame to mount anything.
Thank You

crashcrash :
I'm considering one to put my new D model huey fuselage in, and it just seems that the tail housing would be easier too install then a belt drive.
Then I would also have 2 heli's, one to still learn more on and the scale one to look at until I get better :=}
I appreciate the info and the quick responce, I hope you and everyone else have been ok .
Thank You
Joe

Been having BAD weather unless you're grass or a duck....LOL. No helicopters flyable right now but that's gonna change as soon as I get a motor and ESC in here. Hope you're doing OK as well. My fight with the Veterans Administration is over, I ended up being rated at 100% which is just about unheard of.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Hi :=}
I'm glad to hear that you won your Veterans Case, I was hoping that someone was having better weather then me.
We have had a few days when it did not rain, but then it was very windy.
I was doing some fast foward flying and another ESC went out on me.
It went down hard on the front part of the skids and the stock landing gear broke causing it to go sideways and the main blades hit the ground which hit the tail boom cutting it into.
I had just installed a whole metal head and it bent a few pieces, so I had almost a complete rebuild and have been waiting on a new replacement.
I could not of flew if the weather was great, but I got it yesterday and will get it in today sometime.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
I'm in the middle of building another Phase3 F-16, those fly great. It's gonna take a day or two because I do a butt load of mods to make it stronger, it's pretty weak out of the box. When I'm done, nothing short of a full speed head on collision will break it. I just thought I'd see if anyone still visits this thread....apparently...you do.....LMAO.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
I have been thinking of buying a foam F-16 that BananaHobby sell, but they are out of stock and have been.
I have a stryker that is very beefed up, that Gryphon on the stryker site has given me instructions on one mod.
It is suppose to fly at somewhere between 85 and 90mph but I need someone to hand launch it for me, that way I can have both hands on the sticks and to adjust the trims.
I have crash a few on the maiden flight because of that, and also I will be so nervous and all thumbs :=}

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
I know how you feel. I have a 1/4 scale biplane I'm building. All I'm lacking is covering the main wings and paint which will be as soon as the F-16 maidens. I'm nervous as heck about the 1/4 scale, it's got about $1000.00 into it not including my labor.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Vic that is a great looking plane, I bet you have a lot of hours of work in it, yes that would be enough to make anyone very nervous, it would be a shame to have something to go wrong and cause a crash, { Knock On Wood } and hope for the best.
It is very nice outside here, but way to windy.
I hoping that the wind dies down and the bugs don't eat me alive long enough to get a test flight in on the heli now that I got it back together.

I spray with deep woods off before I go out. Other wise, I couldn't be out there because the mosquitos are horrid. I fly in a field that's next to a swamp.

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
I use skin so soft that has mosquito repellent in it, my neighbor has a wooded area that gets all the rain run off from the highway thats above his land.
He also has a couple frog ponds, the health department has started spraying a couple times a year since I reported it, but they only go part way onto his land and they don't spray enough.
They will eat me alive as early as 2:00 p.m. and 90 and sunny, if I what to fly a lot I will go somewhere and with the gas prices I don't do that to much.
While you take care and I hope you get some nice weather so you can fly, did you see the volcano in iceland.
I think we are having this crazy weather because of what happened in Japan, but that is just my 2cent's .

I looked it over. If all the included electronics and motor are included, and everything is working, you did OK. I think the radio stinks and that will be a MAJOR drawback to learning. You really need a decient radio (Futaba 7c comes to mind).
