hey cub man, question about some photos on your cub den site. in the section detailing the wing struts and jury struts, what are the photos showing with the cable exiting the fuse and the pulley for? (in the section about the folding wing struts)

Hi Charles
Morganflyboy here, I took the pic's of your L-4 at the Toledo show several years back. I was the one looking forward to seeing the Tan colored Cub you were taking the year after the L-4 but you had problems with the paint finish. I would also like to be included in the BROTHER HOOD, my hanger has mostly Cubs. 1. Balsa USA 1/3 Scale Super Cub 2. 1/3 Scale Balsa Usa J-3 3. 1/3 Scale J-4 Coupe 5. 1/4 Scale Sig 86 "Clipped Cub 6. Old Hangar Cub 7. 40 size Great planes Clipped Cub.
Thanks
Morgan

Here is the YouTube video of the Balsa USA 1/4 scale Cub on scratch built floats. This video was taken at Forest Lake in Gary, Maine by Jay Smith, father of Jay Smith, senior editor of AMA's Model Airplane magazine.

Ok now to answer a few questions
crash bandicoute
The cables you are seeing are scale. On the full scale cub the cable travels off the bottom of the control stick up the back side of the front strut to this pulley through the wing to the top of the aileron. Another cable from the bottom of the aileron to a pulle inside the wing. This cable travels inside the wing to an exact same setup for the other side.
Morganflyboy
I do have the cream cub back in action. Hope to make it back to Toledo. About a year ago I got married and have has to slow down a little, but getting ready to get back into the fun As with a lot of other, the funds for my hobby is down a little.

For windows I just use good old flat clear stock
