Videos of Grace?
My Want-To-Build-List is already too long and keeps expanding, but one plane that's quite high up on the list is Grace by dieFluggeister (www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5062550/anchors_5062550/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#5062550). If I understand correctly, this plane was even a postal plane a couple of years ago, but despite that there are surprisingly few videos to be found. In fact, the only two videos I have found are the two posted by dieFluggeister himself:www.youtube.com/user/w626552/videos (but those twa was all that was needed to get me hooked).
I am therefor asking:does anyone have any more video to post?
Thanks
/Stefan

RE: Videos of Grace?
Oh-oh. LiveWire, your comment made me remember that I did see some rather harsch comments in the postal plane-thread, and I sure don't want to start any new flame-wars or anything. I just want to find out a little bit more about a plane that fancies me. (The only sore-ing I want to do is with an 'a' in the middle. )
Thank you vicman for your kind offer about pictures. I've sent you a PM with my mail adress.
If anyone else have pictures or videos I really appreciate of you could post them or send them to me.

RE: Videos of Grace?
The vids you mention are the only ones I've found of it myself. If I ever built a Grace, I'm not sure I'd have the guts to post it up and restart the bar brawl I remember from a few years ago. Maybe it should have been named Peace instead.. I bet she'd be great fun with one of Bernie's intake throttles and a big ole' 2oz tank.

Here's a video when I had her here:

There's a lot of good history of the project in the original thread:

SBS, if you don't already have the plans I think that I've still got them on this computer. If not I'm sure someone will have them.
Guys, let's make this thread about this model and not the last one. If it begins to open old wounds I'll have no choice but to delete posts wholesale to narrow it back to SBS's desire to build this design. Let's make this one about the new project.

RE: Videos of Grace?
It would really be a shame to let a neat little design die off, for fear of causing a problem. The plane itself is good flying design, I really enjoy the one I built. I was thinking of making a new wing with a 34" span to see if it can be more of a floater and be slowed down some, as designed it really doesn't like to be throttled down. Stefan I am looking forward to seeing yours come to life!

Well, when RCU decides to play nicely again, I'll upload an overview and tiled letter size plan.

RE: Videos of Grace?
Thank you for asking, but I have allready found the plans. In the original thread (link in post #1 in this thread) the plan (in DXF-format) an the build instruction is attached to post #26. The plans in pdf-format is attached to post #48.
On the other hand, the thickness of the balsa sheets are specified in fractions of inches, and I will build with mm. Thus I will gladly hear some advice about which sheets is suitable to increase or decrease thickness. (Example:The first sheet in the material list is specified to be 3/32 inch, which is 2.38mm. I can get both 2.0 and 2.5mm, but I have to choose which one to use.) However, this discussion will be better if I first take my time and make a list of where these sheets are used, because then it will be easier for anyone of you to better say if thats a part thats is prone to break or if I should choose the thinner size to save weight.
Besides, I think all build discussions are better held in the build thread to keep all information in one place.
Again, thank you all for videos, pictures, comments and interest.
