Yep... especially messing around with parts that effect the timing, which can make the gun dangerous to fire. Some revolvers can be fixed with drop in parts, but certainly not key points of the action.

I had it apart last night, every piece, and put it back together fine. The problem still persists, The little arm that cathces the landings on the cylinder is not extending like it should, and therefore not rotating the cylinder. I have it back to its original state well enough, and have a buddy coming over tonight to look at it who has spent his last three years of service doing gunsmithing of sorts in the Army. If he cannot fix it, nobody can haha
The "little arm" is called the hand. I agree with the others advising that you should take this nice old revolver to a qualified gunsmith. The U.S. army has not issued revolvers in any numbers since the S&W Victory models of WWll, so it is unlikely that current military armorers are experienced in the fitting and timing of revolvers unless they have gotten training outside the military.

Hey what do you guys think of TC's new rifle?

I like it, I'd go with .223,.308, and .300 WM for starters. :P

If it's anything like their pistol line it will be an excellent firearm.

Nearly a grand to convert your AR to a pellet gun...

I'll pass.

Still looking for the right upper for my Palmetto State lower.

That rifle is pretty cool.

Do you want a complete upper? BCM makes good complete uppers, Daniel Defense, some other guys whose names escape me. I'd personally stick with BCM. I have a BCM upper receiver and it seems like a quality piece.

I'm probably going to buy an AR57 upper, I've heard good things about the round and I like how it spits the shells out through the mag well. I haven't really decided. I bought the lower on a whim, and just keep forgetting about it. I'm also thinking about going SBR with a Rock River 7" upper, but it takes like 6 months.

If you go SBR I wouldn't go with anything less than an 11.5" barrel. Shorter than that and you start blowing some really hot gas into your bolt. Not to mention 10.5s can be substantially more finicky than 11.5s with ammo types and such. 11.5" ARs work great with M193 for home defense.

Just thought I would pop in and revive this thread with pics of my new home defender! It is a Remington 870 clone, very well made and easy to shoot and operate. We went to the countryside over the weekend and blew through over a hundred rounds, not one problem. I have several different ammunition types for this thing as well, since I like a variety. I have 1 oz rifled slugs in standard config and 3" Mag, I have a handful of non-lethal bean bags and batons, and various shot sizes including 00, #5 and #7. Lighter shown in pic for size, and the barrel measures in a barely legal 18" (no pun intended!) Think I've found a new favorite until I get my 1911!

H&R 87? I had one of those, but with a longer barrel. I swapped out the foregrip with one that had a rail, then mounted a vertical grip, fun as **** to just blast stuff with. I'll see if I can find some pictures. Unfortunately the receiver cracked down the center. I warrantied, then sold it.

I would buy one in a second, heck I would take one in 5.56, they were going to produce them in the 90s but never got the money to transition. A seperate company is making 5.56 vzs for Canada but nothing for the US.

If I could put the wood impregnated furniture on it, I would buy it.

I have a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull. I developed a load for it that sets off an air burst of gun powder with each shot.

This can all be solved by a federal ban on high capacity spoons and assault forks. Think of the children.

True, a hammer is a very useful tool, but it makes an excellent bludgeoning weapon, it even has a built in eye socket hook, then you have the garden gnome, adorable lawn ornament... or lethal dagger? and don't get me started with can openers.

I have a healthy respect for my table saw. It can build anything with the right guy using it, but imagine if someone got mad enough at someone else around one....

I demand Class III permits for carbide tipped blades!!!!!!
