RE: Goldberg Tiger Club
well I finally got around to vacuum forming a new canopy. I not super pleased with it becouse my mold could have been a little smoother but I was ready to be finished with this project and get the boy flying his plane. hopefully that will happen tomorrow but the extended forcast doesn't look good. either way it's ready.

RE: Goldberg Tiger Club
Finally got it maidened this week, put about 6 flights, and 20 toucjh and gos. It flies excellent, it feels almost like a pattern plane, very crisp, and goes where you point it. It knife edges very good, once the engine is peaked out, Should be even better once the engine peaks out.
I'm still running the engine rich to finish break in, but it is getting better every flight.

Tovio, your a funny guy and I hope your wrong, however it has happened to others. I flew today in the wind and did ok but I'm not going to kid myself, I'm not ready for the bad ass cat I built so come July it should still be in one piece and you can see it.
Looking forward to meet you, you sound like a fun guy.
P.S. hope you got my email.
Take care, Leroy

Got a CG Tiger II kit for fathers day. It's my first kit
Gonna be a winter project most likely.
Im' not sure how I'll set it up though, either set it as a tricycle first, and then later on make it a taildragger, or build it as a TD right away.
The engine, well it looks like it'll be a evo 10gx.

Anyone who needs a Tiger club number please let me know.
I just picked up a Tiger 2 wing kit. mine has been repaired and has picked up some weight over the years.
Very nice pics of the canopy mold. that is very impressive

Just picked up one of these and have been trying to decide what to get. Lot's of ARFs out there, but I am thinking an 82-100 inch span Tiger might be the cat's meow. Anyone have any Mega Tiger plans?
(Edit: Anyone know why links to images are not showing???)

RE: Goldberg Tiger Club
I finally flew it tonight and for the most part all went well. Had one small issue with the horizontal stabilizer having some flutter but I saw it before any issues arose. the flaps worked fantastic, they really slowed the airplane down like right now. Just something else to play with. The role rate is still very good as well. overall I'm pleased, it's a nice little sport plane.

Curious as to why you had horizontal stab flutter though. I remember having some trouble getting the glue joints to bond on mine due to the lazer cutting leaving the surface hard and black. Am wondering if some of your glue joints might have failed to cause that.

go buy the same size wire from the hardware store or hobby shop. bend to shape, cut with hacksaw, file the end smooth. Bobs your uncle.

RE: Goldberg Tiger Club
Just wanted to share this. put maiden flight on a Sig 4 star 60. this is similar in type to the Goldberg Tiger 60. I am a tiger lover and always will be. If you can get your hands on a Sig Four Star, I recommend it.
The model I flew yesterday is a tail dragger with a Saito 125 for power. It flies very nice. the prior owner had an OS .91 FS in this plane. the only thing I needed to do to balance perfectly with this engine was to change the position of the battery.
vertical climb from full speed pass 500-600 ft. or more. knife edge, rolls, loops and all other maneuvers should work fine. I just need to try them all.

RE: Goldberg Tiger Club
Ken I like hand full of fun as a description as the way it flies, I sure hope mine will provide me the same fun when he goes up. It's ready for the maiden which I will post on my build site. I thought I would post a new pict of it completely finished plane with new blue cowl trailing a chevron. If looks are any indication it could be a real tiger. Watch my build site for video.
