Default Finnish Stug

Here are some pictures of a project I have been working on and off for a while. It is a Finnish Stug III as would have been used in the "continuation war" in the Summer of 1944. It reflects how one of these assault guns would have looked in late summer.

It has a clark tk22. I am most proud of the horizontal transverse of the 75mm as that stock unit does only up down. That was difficult!
My research was based on this site:http://www.andreaslarka.net/
There is a (sorry slightly dark) youtube video here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3***Awiqwc

I would really like to see how you did the traverse on that StuG. Any interior pictures?

Here are three pictures of how the elevation, traverse and recoil were done. The recoil and elevation are with servos. The traverse was with the heng long the elevation unit that came with it It was rotated 90 degree such that it sits in the back of the top hull under the commander hatch lengthwise from one side to the other of the tank. That is the tan unit for those who don't know what these look like.

The pictures are from the bottom and the rear of the assembly with the top hull upside down. Everything connects to the top of the hull. Basically I used the stock trundle which provided for elevation and made it able to rotate. There was then a "platform" (grey styrene) attached to the "breech" so that the recoil and elevation servos could move with the barrel assembly as it moved vertically and horizontally. I then attached a small brass arm to the part of the trundle that rotated left and right (but not horizontally). TheHL traverse motor andelevation servo connect to it. I used little universal RC servo arms that have a universal joints to connect all these so as the elevation and traverse worked togther they could perform their function.

Hopefully this makes some sense. Pictures below:
