Anyone know where i can get another pull start for my vx.18 engine besides the redcat website. I dont really want to pay 30 bucks for it but i will if i have to. Also will other .18 engine pull starts fit it.

ET, what did you hit? I am going on my second gallon of gas in the volcano and the only that that did go was the plastic body, landed on roof of car(http://www.putfile.com/chubbysdad ) , the clutch and the diff. gears from my son keeping on the gas while landing. Other than that it is holding up good.

You will have to find out the shaft size to make sure. I dont carry the OS so I am not sure. Take it to a local hobby shop and match it up in person. The team infinity motors are .21 and .27 not the .18. Just so you are aware.

Thanks for responding trpastor. You are absolutely correct. But, I think the manufacturer knew the 1/10 trucks were substandard when they sold them. Redcat made a mistake buying those models. I will continue to follow this saga to see how it turns out.

!/8 truck, 27 motor, FM radio: 1/8 buggy, 21 motor, AM radio: VERY happy!

Dude!? R U mistaken, or WHAT!? Ya think Himoto is shippin' redcats to China for resale in the US??! Redcat gets 'em from Himoto, or the same place as Himoto does in China. Himoto will be sellin em around the world long after redcat gives up on you guys. I haven't had a single problem with any of the Himotos I've bought on e*ay. But I also thought the 1/10 truck looked weak in the e*ay pictures and haven't tested one, YET! Right now, sounds like the Redcat guys are competing for your after xmas crash dollars. They seem to be runnin' their business as if it were Amway!

Syn -- as a Redcat dealer I must take issue with some things. How can you even begin to form an idea about what Redcats future is? You must know something I do not or even Darin does not. If you can tell the future that well, what are the next lotto numbers?

As far as "...the Redcat guys are competing for your after xmas crash dollars. They seem to be runnin' their business as if it were Amway!" HOW DARE YOU!! Redcat is NOT a multi-level marketing scam. Those of us that are dealers have signed up to abide by certain guidelines. I am sorry that there are dealers who are less than ethical but that is what happens when there is a large business. Ever been to a car lot, are they all great and wonderful? No, I do not think so.

Please do not take this as bashing you, tanke it more like sticking up for the company I have chosen to be a dealer for. If you do not think I am one of the "good guys" look back at my posts and see for yourself.

Some of you people need to read back through the entire thread a little more carefully...I keep seeing questions pop up that have already been asked and answered...(like tuning for example...that has been explained SEVERAL times and links have even been posted)...or use the search mode at the front page of the forums...

And to people answering questions you might want to try and be a little more conscious of adding the persons screen name that you are addressing..

"Kosty"...I'm not sure but I think "chubbysdad" answered your question about the pullstart just before you asked about it again...Ie:"I can ship you one from florida. Drop me an email [email protected]"

Am I correct "chub"??...if not...I'm sure Scott Harp can help you out too.

Chubbysdad,
I found this exhaust pipe set on www.tsais.com part # e1018k it should work on the volcano and is about $55.00 (free shipping right now). It seems to resemble traxxas's 4942 (pipe) and 4940 (header) pretty close, for $5.00 less with all the mounting hardware and they sell to dealers also. Thought I would post this for anyone looking for new pipes (ie ryang20, myself, and others)

I think he was saying that the .18 is not a Team Infinity motor...just the .21 and .27 are.

Yes rc god you misunderstood me. I sell them. I know the volcano comes with a .18 but that is not a team infinity engine. Just the .21 and .27 are. Sorry if I typed it wrong.

"Kosty"....tuning the .18 is really no different than any of the others....read back through the thread and there are several times people have explained it....I even posted a link about break in and tuning from a pro tuner...

Another way to find info is to use the search function on the front page of the forums...just type in tuning and you will find all kinds of info.

chubbysdad,
I ordered the pipe set and will inform on install and performance when it arrives.

TO ALL 1/10 TRUCK OWNERS...BUYTRAXXAS.COM HAS 1/10 TRUCK BODIES ON SALE FOR $5.00 A PIECE,
STYLES ARE FOR NITRO STAMPEDE AND NITRO RUSTLER- 4 COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM (RED/WHITE, PURPLE/WHITE, YELLOW/WHITE, BLUE/WHITE)

With all the easy body damage this might be a cheap solution to back up bodies!

AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEDDDDDD

There are several of US here that are RED CAT RACING Dealers that are willing to help people that need parts or help getting started. I have 22 years experience with R/C cars and have raced at WORLD LEVEL COMPETITION. Im working on some DVDs for getting started, and maintainence, to race set up. I cant post all the info in the DVDs because they are to extensive. If anyone is interested in these DVDs PM me and Ill put you on the list. I also have upgraded parts in the works and have as of now only 1 part for the trucks. Heres some pics of the Carbon Fiber Upper Plate
