Default Look what I bought for $30.00!! What is it?

Sorry I didn't get the links up right away.

Picked her up for $30.00. Needs servo's and a remote, but it runs fine. Needs a lil cleaning though.

Any clue as to what it is? Aside from a 4wd shaft driven monster truck? Seems to have a pretty good bit of Aluminum hop ups on it too Go me.

Thoughts?

BTW, the car is my bro is laws.. Its an HPI dorifto mobile . Took the pic for size reference :P

**Edit** All pics are up now.. Sorry they werent when I first posted.

Nope, thats no Dominator. It looks like one of the old Duratrax MT's. What were they called.... Nitro Quake, and Thunder Quake? Something like that.

I believe your right... It's a duratrax.

I'm havin a hard time finding a servo for it though. Even on the PDF file you linked me to, it doesn;'t list the steering or throttle servo.
WTH?

Those should be common size servos. Should be able to use whatever brand you like.

As I have learned. I was looking for a Dura Trax brand servo's :P

I'll eventually end up with a new Traxxas Nitro Stampede.. But this'll be a good learning experience. Lets hope this duratrax is not too big of a piece of junk that disillusions me out of the hobby. The local hobby shop does carry parts for Duratrax stuff, so at least I'll have a near by resource.

Fortunately it looks like a Nitro Quake, the ThunderQuake's 2 speed w/rev. tranny is a total POS. I have a Thunder Quake that's been sitting idle for a few years because the tranny chewed through 2 sets of gears after putting a hotter engine in. I am in the process of maching a new tranny shaft that will allow me to put an OFNA two speed assembly in it and do away with the clunky rev. unit. The TQ would have been a great truck if not for it's tranny, yourNitro Quake should be pretty durable given that it's a single speed tranny. If you haven't picked up a servo yet I would recommend something like a HiTech 5645MG at the very least, those tires need a strong servo. The stock servo wasn't quite strong enough for a truck that size.

Good Luck
