Default Zenoah glow plug adapter question on Poulan 42cc?

I bought the Zenoah glow plug adapter for my Poulan 42cc engine. Do I need to use the ring/washer that is usually on a spark plug on this engine or do I just screw the adapter only into the engine? Also, I’m using an OS #F glow plug. Do I use the small brass washer that’s on the glow plug? Thanks.

I dont use a ring on either. I feel it keeps the plug hotter for a more stable idle and transition, and I never see any evidence if leakage.

I know I missed something. What is the benefit of going glow instead of running gas and do you need an onboard glow driver? I have a 40cc Poulan and if it's really worth doing I would consider it.

John the advantage of a gas/glow mix is the weight loss and a small gain in power... You lose the Mag and the flywheel weight.

If tuned/mixed fuel right you do not need onboard glow, I have a mac 28 cc that will idle all day long and then slam wide open in an instance.

Did you need to make any changes to the carb. and what mix of gas/glow would you recommend?

NO you do not need to change the carb. YOu just have to set it a little rich. to start out with. the fuel mix is 2:1

1 part 10/10 glow fuel and 2 parts hi grade gas. You do not need to mix oil in the gas. The oil in the glow fuel is all you need.

10/10 glow fuel us 10% nitro and 10% oil. I run glow fuel that is made for R/C cars. They are 10% oil. Most LHS have it. but they have like 20% to 30% nitro. Getting the 10/10 fuel is a little harder to come by. but gas/glow is grate. You will see 2 to 300 more RPMs and you will find that it will idle very low. I had to take out my idle stop screw just to be able to kill the engine. lol

It is just fun.
