The Wex's FEJ F-14 build thread
IT's Here!!!! I finally got my FEJ F-14 Black Bunny. This was packed fantastic and absolutely damage free. The plane took over an hour to unpack. It is a beauty! Everything looks fantastic on it and so far a pretty good fit of things. I am going to bolt on the front end and set it up at LA JETs this weekend. I will start the build and pictures next week.
For all those worried about the swing mechanism, it looks and feels as strong as you could ask for. This thing is stout!! I will know more during the build and the first flight. The gear rotate and feel great. They also look to be very strong as do the wheels and tires.
Overall after unpacking, this is beautiful and FEJ has done a fantastic job. My hats off to James and the factory in China. A great and beautiful product.

Dude, scrounge up a camera and take a few initial pix for pete's sake.
there are folks out there falling over themselves to get a look at this bird. the BBunny scheme is going to look beeachin next to the BBunny F4.with any luck the gal from Big Ron Longs Ultra Bandit photo shoot will visit.

That's funny Buck!! I will get some posted as soon as I can. Baggy called today and was asking where he could see it right away! He needed an F-14 Fix! He's on his way over to John's now!

Sorry Raf...The plane came in today at the shop and I didn't have my camera. I will get some shots posted. I was just excited about getting it! I agree, we need shots!

Alright guys...ENOUGH FLACK!!!!! Hope you like 'em. As I said I will get some good ones. We put the wing, elevator and rudder on and it looked awesome. The pilots suck, but Ialready have new ones. The top and bottom speed brakes are in and plumbed, as are the spoilers. It all looks good. Can't wait to get it alongside the F-4 Bunny.

Hey Ron Big Baller. Pack up your Air Force and come up to the Big Apple Jet Rally at the end of June. My Jets are wintering in Florida, but I plan to get them up here in a week or two as soon as I figure out where to store them. We can fly those Airworld Mig 21's together.
Monique is moving in with me in NY in two weeks, so she will be happy to pose with some jets. I am planning a photo shoot on the USS Intrepid carrier deck with a few of her model friends as well, so we need some nice jets.

I wish I could I will be doing some moving here next month. Man I hate moving! I am hopimg to get some flights in on the Mig, this morning. I am looking forward to flying together John let me know what your schedule is. Glad to here Monique is around, John how about you guys come out to our jet rally in October It is going tobe a excellent event and possibly Monique will pose next to my new ultra. Have fun at the field. The Mig is looking good. Would love to come out to AZ in October, but with my travel schedule at work, it's hard to plan even for next week :-). I missed Top Gun because of a last minute change of a meeting in Holland, so it is a bit hard to do long term planning.

John, good to hear your still around. Glad things have worked out with Monique. Hopefully you guys will make it back out here soon.
Ron, are you coming Thurs or Fri? Looking forward to another "Ron Long" weekend!!! Should be fun, especially if smokin' Joe gets into the cooler!!
JR and Nuno...it is big. Haven't measured yet but it should be about 100" L. I was going to use two P-120's but have decided on 160's instead. The reason is only because I have an available P 160 now.
The detail is great and the gear look good. Should be a good flyer.
