The upper and lower needle bearings are a different size.

If you can get the crank rod pin out you could replace the lower bearing but would be best just to replace the whole crank and rod assembly.

Replace it with a chainsaw bearing, it will outlast the rest of the engine.

If a person can find the correct size of bearing changing it is not a big deal, but here is the fly in the milk, as a rule if the crank bearing is starting to go bad it has messed up the internal rod bore on the lower end and the crankpin as well so a new bearing is a waste of time. I agree the best thing to do is just get a new crankshaft assy.
Now if by chance you can get the correct bearing and the assy is new and want to change it to upgrade it as Ralph said to a chainsaw bearing you can PM me for a easy and non destructive way to change it.
I have went this route before myself and I had to purchase a min of 6 ea bearings just to get one.
