Default DL50 muffler question

I needed to replace the muffler for a DL50 engine and by mistake bought the option that has a nipple for smoke applications. The question is: should I use it as a regular muffler or should I block the hole in the nipple?
Thanks in advance.

I'd stick a short piece of fuel tube in it and plug it with a bolt or fuel dot, that way if you ever want access to the smoke coil you're not drilling out JB Weld.

If the Smoke Oil Nipple is screwed in and not sodered/welded or pressed in place; just unscrew it and replace it with a small bolt.

I think Ill start by filling the nipple hole with hi-temp silicone first as suggested by a pilot at the giants site. If the carb starts acting up or I see some residue on the inside of the cowl, I'll move to plan B which is to plug it with some fuel line and a dot. Thanks for the feedback!

Gas turns silicone to jelly, so your silicone plug might or might not hold.

If you plug it with tubing, use neoprene rubber as regular Tygon type fuel tubing will melt from the heat.
