Default Prop Hub Clearance

Not completely engine related, but I'm sure you are the right people to ask....

The distance from the firewall to the front of my cowling opening is 5.75" - 5.825" ish. So if getting, say, a Syssa, which allows you to order the engine with several different sized 'setups', would 6" firewall-to- prop hub be enough clearance, or do I want to go to 6.25"?

Thanks!

6" should be OK and you can always shim a bit with fender washers or something similar for another 1/16" or so.
