G38 or US 41?
I have both of these engines laying around, and was wondering, which is more powerful. I know that neither is a powerhouse, but, still, which has the edge? I'm wondering because I currently have a pair of G38s on planes, and was wondering whether it would be wise to replace them with the 41s. I'm leaning towards keeping the G38s because of reliability and parts availability...hmmm, I think maybe I answered my own question

I have had a number of both. On the same model you would be very hard pressed to ever tell the difference. Brian

RE: G38 or US 41?
From what I remember (it been a while ) the 41 I had turned the same prop at the same rpm (within 100 or so of each other ) as my G38 's . 18x8 being the optimum prop for either engine.
In my opinion it wouldn't be worth the effort to change them out.
