The motor is correct for model. Good parts NGK-RXCEL. 20 flights good response.

I placed the tank where the fuel lines would hook up to the carb easy. The balance is done by shifting the 2 battery packs in the wing. I and a friend that has the same airplane checked this out and I was really amazed on how balance may look... compared to what it really is. Capt,n

Captain John why did you put the fuel tank on the same side as the head of the engine? Didn't that make the lateral balance a little tougher to do?

Capt,n & Cyberwolf,
Somehow this thread slipped under my radar and I only now saw the link to it posted by Okinox in the "Any problems with the M22" thread. I did the tank arrangement on my scratch built profile similar to yours Capt,n but placed both Rx and ignition batteries and module on the other side of the fuse to help with both the CG location and lateral balance.

My pick of engines is any that are NOT made in china. There are way too much goods made in china. I am not sorry about my Mintor....it runs great. Capt,n

Hey captinjohn, you still flying your M22?I know this is an old thread, but I'm going to using my M22 in my Pulse 125 because#1it became available when I crashed my Ultra Stick 125 and #2 I'm tired fulling around with my DLE20.I had a DLE20 that I sold and wish I hadn't the next one I bought was/is a pos.I bought the M22 because I like you want to the least amount of chicom junk as possible, and I'm glad I did not a problem since first start up.Can you tell me what gas/oil ratio your are using in your M22?
Thanks Jim

I run my M22 on 93 octane alcohol free gasoline with 40:1 oil mix. I use Stihl full synthetic. I had to replace the original defective piston ring after one gallon of fuel. I got a Bowman ring. I now have about 3 gallons total through it. I looked into the exhaust port last week, and there is absolutely no wear on the new ring. The engine runs like a Swiss watch. It is very powerful too. I really like it.

littiera,I've been running mine on regular pump gas and Stihl dino oil at 32:1 and it's running great so far.I've got about 2 1/2 gals through it now.It pulls my Pulse 125 really nice with a MAS 15/7 three blade prop.I finally broke down and bought a set of TNT landing gear and she's a dream to takeoff and land.I wasted a quart of fuel shooting touch and goes this past Saturday.I wish Mintor would come back to the USA just in case I need parts or another M22.

Hey Capt,n John, what's the latest on your Mintor 22 and guess what, mine is finally home at last but I have not had the chance to run it just yet. Will post something as soon as I do.

Karol I flew my 260 PRO just a couple of hours ago. I had to lean the carb Hi-speed up a tad (3rd time) and then it ran the best ever at higher throttle settings. The idle would came back to a consistent RPM so I was able to get a couple of 3 point landings. SOME FUN !

Karol, I flew the Mintor 22 again this AM. The air temp was cooler & it ran really good. Get yours going & start flying soon as you get the engine adjusted good. I am having a lot of fun again. Best regards, Capt,n

Great that you are again enjoying your engine, as I plan on doing some of the same with mine very soon. How much fuel have you ran through yours since returning it to active duty ?? Sent you a relevant e-mail.

Hey all, played hooky yesterday and took the Pulse out again, this little engine just gets better and better.Put about a half gallon through her yesterday this time with a Xoar 16/8 prop, pulled a little better than the MAS 15/7 three blade.Sunday I'm going to try a 17/6 Xoar on it and see how she pulls the Pulse around.I also went with 32:1 Klotz full synth and noticed a little jump in performance.

I am on my first gallon yet. I can get about 45 min per tank & the tank is 10 oz. I only fill it to 3/4 full, sometimes less, because if the throttle servo ever quit & stayed at a say 1/2 throttle position a very long flight may need to be done before the engine ran out of fuel. Sure hate to run out of battery first. I have flown some very long flights...still have 1/4 inch of fuel left. So I then take the 260 up & practice several landings. Always had a "thing" about making the last landing a perfect one before I quit for the day !

I don't get it. I use a 10 or 12 oz. tank and I only get a 10 or 12 minute flight before fuel is very low. I do fly full throttle most all of the flight however. It is about 1 ounce per minute. Engine appears to be well dialed in too.
I think you should always use an ignition cut off deal, as this would prevent getting "stuck in the air."

I'm getting about 20 minutes out of a 10 oz tank. When I land and check the tank there's about maybe 2 or 3 oz left in the tank.I'm pretty happy with this engine everybody that see's or hears wants to know more about it,it has a very distinct sound compared to the DLE's at our field.

My M22 powers a scratch built 63" span Extra profile and on an 8 oz tank spinning a Falcon 17x6 runs close to 20 mins with a bit left in the tank, but then I hardly ever run full throttle except when going vertical.

Hey guys, well ran the M22 with a Xoar 17/6 prop and she really loves it.Only one problem, even with the 1/2 inch taller gear I bounced the first landing and busted the tip off one blade. While running the 17/6 prop and Klotz full synth this little engine really came alive.I flew the rest of the day with a MAS 16/10 prop because that's all I had with me,the airplane performed really well on that prop. All in all it was a good day at the field.
