Default Johnson Mufflers Website ???

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows where to find the website. Search for "Johnson Mufflers" and "Jayson Products" turned up nothing. I know Aircraft Int. carries them, but I was actually trying to find there own website....if it even exists.

Thanks a bunch,

Cap

I am attempting to obtain support for replacing a pair of Johnson Mufflers for my 3W 56B2 twin. The ones I received from Cactus when I purchased the engine are terribly leaking around the alu welds.Cactus office advised Johnson Muffler are out of business. Does anyone know what replaces this muffler at about the same price and also effectively, including reliable quality control?
Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Manfred

I have their business card from many years ago...I called the number...The lady on the other end said they are out of business...End of story....
Welders don't like to weld mufflers that have been used, the oil in the joint screws up the job....Anyway I don't think the joints are really welded, it's more like the joints on a Slimline, done with a torch......

Thanks AZ for your info. This will set me on a new course to find appropriate replacements. I also thought rewelding to be a problem due previous oil contamination. Manfred
PS: 3w engine runs very well ( 56B2-Twin) has lots of power and is easy to start) Comunicationg with 3W in Germany was very prompt and polite>

Go to www.aircraftinternational.com and look under exhaust. They sell supersonic mufflers for the 56 twin. You may want to check www.jtecrc.com They can make mufflers for you as well. Hope that helps.

I didn't know about Johnson mufflers going out of business.
I've put off getting a new 2-in-1, so now it looks like I'm outta luck. [:@]
The old one I've got has seen better days, and leaks quite a bit.
Thanks for that link. Still, if anyone reads this, I'm a lookin!

You can clean the weld material off (if the torch weld style, not mig-tig etc) and start with a new build up and see if that will work.
I have done this and still holding up.

Here's what I did for my 3W56 twin. This set up gives good power and light weight. It runs circles around my ZDZ 50.

Macs. should be able to weld you up a header if there is no welding shop close to you. I made mine from aluminum tube cut out of a folding lawn chair.
