Default DA50r crankshaft

Hi all:
recently my DA50r comes to 'sing' (very hard) . I also noticed a little 'play' in the rotating motion of crankshaft.
After dismantle i observe the needle bearing of the connecting rod (crankshaft side) is out with axial play and also wear out.(small particles of alum. inside of crankcase)
The connecting rod is made of steel and i've measured it with a micrometer and it seems right without damage.
I remove the prop hub, ignition sensor, shaft extension, etc.
Now, i have the spare parts to rebuild it (gaskets, bolts, piston ring, bearings, etc.)
What's the procedure to remove the crankshaft from the front crankcase ? Heat ?
How can i extract the crankshaft pin
How can i replace the bearing (needle bearing) from crankshaft pin ??
How can i mount the new bearings, and the bearing upper and lower side of conrod ?
What is the tightening torque of cylinder base , shaft extension, prop hub , and crankcase screws ?
I know the great job at Desert Aircraft service, and i know most of responses willbe to send the engine to the manufacturer, but i've ruled out that possibility.

thanks in advance

Call DA and tell them your situation. I'm sure they will help you out due to the circumstances.

They do not do too well with keeping up with e-mails. They get 200-300 calls per day. Try calling until they answer.

Do you guys fail to see he is in Spain? Why don't you try to contact the European DA importer? I think he's british, living in Germany.

Shipping it back can be a haz-mat nightmare, especially right now. A "residue last contained" notice will have to be filed with the carrier and posted on the container. It will have to meet U.S. and U.N. specifications, and then you get to deal with the cost. That doesn't begin to factor in the time involved with just the shipping. Probably several weeks. He may then have to pay import duties upon return of the new engine. If he has the parts and ability, why not do it yourself?

Thanks for all replies.
Someone knows the tightening torque of this engine , and how to remove the crankshaft pin to put a new bearing ??
I see in other forums people asking for similar info (with glow engines ...) and replies.
Gas engines aren't serviceables by the owner ?

Best regards.

In the US, if you open up a DA motor, Homeland Security will arrest you....

Contact RCignition here on RCU. If he's had a DA-50 apart, I'm sure he can explain the procedure. Most cranks are press fit, and you will need to heat the case.

Thanks .
Dave from DA has contacted me and give me all the info, but no arrest.
It's amazing to discover the secrets inside a DA engine (mechanical work of art)
Also he offers me to solve the problem under warranty, GREAT JOB

DA's service and reliability is the best in the RC world. I deal with DA in India. People they have problems with there engine because of misuse and I send them to DA they just do the job without asking questions to you.

Engine repaired OK.
Yesterday, the engine (with a plane attached) flown again.
I've changed ( by my own risk ) the con-rod pin of crankshaft, new bearings and ring .
It's very difficult to extract the cranckshaft from the front portion of cranckase . About 3 Tons. of press.
The pin was very damaged by needle bearing (also replaced).
It runs great now and no play or clicking sound.

Thank's to all.
