The 2.70 is a perfect match for this airplane. You'll like that combination.

Perfect, I have both an OS FT-300 and a Saito FA-300T that I will consider for the airframe

Hello Spacewalker pilots. I know a lot of you Walker flyers use the Saito 2.70 in this thread so I'll ask here if you don't mind. I also plan to use a 2.70 but just found out the Spraybar is cracked/broken. I looked at Sev websites and of coarse the 2.70 I knew was Disc. My question is, do any of you know a cross Ref. spraybar and have the part number that would fit this engine? I believe the spraybar for the Saito 180 single or the 450 Radial is the same and will fit. Any helpThanks Roy

Thank you fokker Fan, It is by no means finished. I stopped work on it to fly it some. Ha. I still have to get the rib stitching on it. You will love the 1/4 DR1. I had one with a Homelite 30 cc engine that I converted and put C&H ign on it and it was a ball to fly. They are very rudder sensitive so you can stay up there with 20 oz of gas and turn lazy flat turns for a long time. I been getting the radio gear in the Walker off and on all day so it won't be long before I'll be hauling it to the field. Thanks again and have a great week-end.

Super 08
I don't live in Germany anymore, I live in Florida. I haven't changed my profile yet. If your is a 1/3 scale and complete, I am very interested in it. Please let me know if you want to sell it and the price.

I would let it go for $320cdn. I am guessing shipping would be about $100....
Oh and it is new in the box. I only opened it up to look at the plans when I got it. I found out I am allergic to balsa dust and I am having a bit of fun trying to finish another plane because of it. Looking like I am going to be stuck with ARFs.[:@]

Well, Today was the day. I maidened my 1/3 scale Spacewalker and all I can say it "WOW". I can not for the life of me explain the feeling you get when you take a Walker this size off for the first time. The landings are unreal. I did a video but it's a mess coming from a $69.00 cam. Ha. I will try to get some better footage. thanks for all the help with the year long build and hope you all are enjoying your Walker like I know I will. Now I have to put it back on the table and finnish it up but are you ever done with a scasle bird!!! Ha. Roy

How does it fly with the Saito FA-300T ?? Is it very scale or does it have some extra power reserve.

RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker
Well, it's about time to throw my hat in the ring on building a 1/3 SW too. Kit and new OS FT-300 on the way as we speak.
As a kid in the mid-80s learning to fly rc, I was in aw of Al Fozbrink and his Spacewalker. He was one of the guys that tought me to fly and watching him fly that SW was really something to see. I decided then that at some point I would be a good enough pilot and builder to someday own one too. This hobby, for me , is all about fun and constantly improving ones self as a pilot, a builder and at helping others succeed in the hobby. I hope to use the SW as my first plane to campaign at small local fun-flys and contest to get my feet wet in scale. I'm not likely to start the build for 12 months or so as I have a 4-120 Bipe on the bench 3/4 done right now but I'm going to put together all the info and research I'll need for static judging the SW first. I hope the thread stays active. Mike.
