Velox Revolution II (81")
John:
The t-nut for one of the wing retainer screws (the 90MM) is stripped out in my kit. Since this t-nut is buried deep in the wing, it would require major surgery to replace it. I was thinking of installing 8-32" brass inserts in all the wing bolt holes and swapping out the 4mm metric hardware. Do you see any problems in doing this?
Thanks,
Tony M.

Hello,
No problem or you can tap the wood root cap and use a nylon screw. They wont come out either and it may be eaiser. Let me know if I can help further.
Thanks
John

Would the Zeonah G45 (heavy but reliable) be a good match for the 50cc Velox II?
I am concerned about having to add dead weight in the tail like I did with my Christain Eagle II.
Thanks!

Hello,
It should. With a DA50 RTF most planes are comming out at 15.5-16lbs. Im sure that 220 Saito would do well but we have no experience with it.
Thanks
John

john - thanks for the reply - my thoughs are this - with the saito 220 it will be about 20 t0 24 OZ. lighter then 50 size gas - so this will have a lighter wing load , have a nice scale sound , and less viberation on the air frame - 3-D is not thing - i like a nice classey looking airplane with that a softer sound - thanks again Bill wrc-flyer ( i have the arf seting by the bench )

dhooks, im flying mine and i woouldnt trade it for anything. almost flyies as well as my 40%. its nothing for me to do a 6" inverted pass over the runway, or for that matter any manuever in the book (well that i can do!!). flys great very stable very perdictable, "0" bad habits
