Tshark,
That pic of you and the ''mini-me'' pilot figure is awesome!! I'm sure that will be the hit of the field once somebody susses out that the figure is YOU I've spent 100's of hours in a 172 Cessna and your I panel and interior look great!

Well I spent half the day trying to find items here at the house, and at CVS to make my antennas out of. I think I am now on the right path. They will be close not 100% dead on but close enough by the time I get done with them. My graphics from Highr Graphics down in FL should arrive Monday Tuesday this week I will be able to get them finished up this week. Now I need to make the other 4 or so.

Well the first on is done more or less still waiting on the graphics for it. Not to bad for government work. Not perfect but good enough for under the plane. Got my patches scaned in and reduced down on heavy card stock. Now I just need to cut them out and put them on the uniforms.

Oh No!
I've discoverd RC scale rock crawler trucks!
Had to find some something to do while I'm waiting for an engine for my Cessna.
Here are a couple of pics of my first build attempt.
I know, it's not a plane.

Well I got my new mufflers in for the DA 150 next it is off to the welder with them. I can't see cutting into this nice cowl when the exhaust can be emptied out of the scale location.
I got everyone patched up this evening/morning. Is it really 3am wow. I am not sure if I want to shrink the patchs a bit more or not.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
So here is the transport stand prototype all complete. As you will see in the photos the two halfs butt right up against each other so nobody is needed to hold the tail to screw it on - Now ifyour on uneven grassI made braces that clip on the center structure ( 3 removable bars in the center) they hold it level in place... I too wish to travel to the field already connected and assembled, but do not want to risk a fracture during transport. so the tail is only on for flying at the field THATSIT..........

What size festo are you using? Also who makes that fuel cap. It looks larger than the one I have.

thanks Randy,
did you cut out the F1 former to make space for the fuel tank?? the one supplied with the model is way to big to fit in the engine mount.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Martin;
Best check with the 182 fellows re tank size and location. My tank location in the 185 with the 3W 212 was behind the firewall mounted vertically.
The tank supplied from Tommy was huge and could not be used.
I'm using a 50 ounce tank which gives me ample flight time and reserve.
If you are using a 150cc you may be able to use a tank that will fit within the motor mount.
I'll be using that set up on the next 185 and the 3W 170.
As mentioned, one of the 182 fellows will head you in the right direction.
Regards
Randy

The new tank tommy is sending out does not fit correct. Unless you cut the fire wall. I tired the 50oz Dubro but the lines kept getting pinched. I am now using these http://www.bennettbuilt.com/shop/Tan...ctangular.html
they fit side by side with just a little mod needed. You just saddle them together like a jet set up. I am running about 64oz of fuel on the plane right now.

I could not stand the shiny top of the Cessna dash board - I went to JoAnn's Fabric and picked up some mat vinyl leather - I made this templet- cut one out - now it looks much better....

Do you still have the temple for the dash. Or could i get just get you to cut me one. I have a bunch of white over spray on mine that I cant get off. So I guess I will just cover it.
I am almost done with the plane. I had almost the entire plane repainted being I had mismatched paint on both my wings and fuse. New paint is sharp the colors are now correct. I got my pilot working along with the control yokes. So now the arms and head all function. Newer nav lights are coming in to replace the ones I just got from Details 4 Scale. Dan has newer and brighter strobes and beacon. They are visable from a 1/4 mile away. So she will be ready for Joe Nall here in a few weeks. Just need to finish up the rest of antennas.
