Default Balsa USA Bristol M1 conversion

It's couple of months down the road yet but I have my eye on a BUSA Bristol M1c. The Span is 60", area 650 sq". weight 6-6.5 lbs. What I would like to do is convert it to a brushless with Lipos. No need for a fully aerobatic type just a WWI fly around. What would be a good conversion that wouldn't require a second mortgage ? Been flying Nicad electrics for several years but not knowing a watt from a volt brushless and lipo's ae a bit of a mystery. All suggestions appreciated.
