RE: cool power fuel/after runs oils
I run Cool Power 15% in everything from my Traxxas Tmaxx 2 strokes, all my 2 stroke airplane engines, and my Magnum and Saito 4 strokes. I have never had a bit of troubles with bearings rusting or anything like it. My engines stay clean on the exterior and are clean on the interior. Most your afterrun oils are not even compatable with the synthetic lubricants that are used in Cool Power. I do like to pinch the line and burn the fuel out of it on my last run of the day though. I will never use anything but Cool Power, and no I do not work for them! I have just had really good results with Cool Power Fuel!

RE: cool power fuel/after runs oils
NO need for after-run as stated on the bottle. Any rust that does accumulate is from left over raw glow fuel which is hygroscopic. Just run the engine good and dry at the end of the day. I've never had a problem.
I still use after-run if I'm storing my engines for any length of time, but if I'm flying regularly, I don't bother. IMO the after-run shortens glow plug life.

I never used to use after run oil. I was heavily into helicopters for
a few years and it would be difficult to get the oil into the engine.
So I never did it.
I ran Cool Power 15 and always ran the engine dry at the end of
the days flying. I had two heli motors rust on me pretty bad.
One was a Thunder Tiger 36 and the other was an OS32.
Since that happened Ive religously used a 50/50 mix of
Marvels Mystery Oil and auto trans fluid. No rust since.
So I attribute the claims on the fuel jug as marketing.
Nothing more.

Like you, I run the engine dry and do not use after run oil (Marvel air tool oil) unless I anticipate letting the engine set for several weeks to a month without being used. I haven't lost a bearing due to rust yet and that is in over forty plus years of modelling. Local climate does make a difference and the temperature swings your engines are subject to during storage also makes a difference.

RE: cool power fuel/after runs oils
I am a believer in getting all of the methanol out of the engine after using it. Do this and your engine will stay rust free even without after run oil.
One thing that I have started doing is venting the engine with an aquarium air pump for an hour or two after I am through flying. I plug the exhaust outlet and connect the pump to the muffler pressure tap. Then I turn the crank to the overlap position, where the exhaust, transfer, and intake are all slightly open simultaneously and let to airflow through the engine evaporate all leftover fuel.
Whatever you do, do not plug the engine's intake and exhaust outlets before putting it away, leave then open so the engine can breathe.
