Default ASC= Associated?

Hey, I posted this in the general rc car and truck forum so they told me to post it here:

This might be the stupidest question in the world, but I was looking at Dynamite engines because my dad has 3 and they all run and tune well, and with their .12s, they have 3 that say Losi after them, and the other 3 say ASC after them, so I am assuming that that is for Associated, especially since all of the ASC engines have cut-cranks. I will try to post a link. This is probably a no-brainer, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks.

This is the airplane area.

But there may be a slim chance that someone will come along with an answer?

I see you posted in Car-Nitro and Gas engines also.....

Yeah, I noticed right after I posted, and didn't see a way to delete my post so I just posted in both. My bad.

Okay. It is kind of deceiving though, because the engine forum was listed under "RC Radios, Engines, Batteries, Clubhouse, & More." It did not say airplanes. Oh well.

Does this help any? http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=DYN6506

Edit: on several of the pages I found, ASC was used for Associated parts.

My guess is the Losi 1/10 truck uses a standard crank, the Losi labeled engine. I believe Associated 1/10 GT uses a cut/short crank, ASC labeled engines.

No need to look... AE is there short name but in this particular add the description states either Losi or ASC. Who else would they be talking about besides Associated.
