Bill,
I love learning those new tricks your right about a little more sanding I didn’t use a rear spar in this test wing tip so I’m going to do another one. What a huge difference the changes make in the appearance of the wing tips. Keep those tip coming LOL.
John,
I would also like to thank you for your help and pictures you have provided. They have been a huge help.

On your pilot, what size is he? He looks a tad small, unless you have a dwarf flying the plane.

RE: WACO YMF
Brothers, I know its early but thinking about an engine. I fly mostly nitro. I presently have a four stroke saito 100, An Os 120 four stroke. An OS BGX 1 3500 two stroke. All new, never mounted. I like the 120, but I think I need a little bit more. Thinking about a Saito 150 or 180 Don't know, any advice would help. Thanks George ( building the 1/5 scale )

RE: WACO YMF
George,
The 120 will be just fine. I have flown this model on everything from a Super Tigre .75 up to an OS 160, and most everything in between. Heck, I've even flown one on a Maloney 125. Go for the 120.

RE: WACO YMF
Bill thanks so much for the advice. I will use the 120. I have a question? on the rib templates there are numbers of how many to cut . Is that number for both wings or just one. thanks george

The number required on the templates are the total required for the airplane.

Bill & all
Here’s the center section framed up and ready to sheet the top. Any one see any thing I’ve missed? Hate to glue the sheeting on and then think of something I forgot. I can tell doing the wing this way is going to save a ton of sanding.

RE: WACO YMF
Dan,
I'd like to see you build up the center rib back to the spar. That way when you place the dowel into the wing center structure, you will have some support for it. I'd use ply there. Just a suggestion.

Looking good Dan.
Got some more done myself. The windscreen and dash, I must confess it's from the Great Planes waco. Stand ten feet off close one eye and it look's good.

RE: WACO YMF
errol,
thanks for the kind words, i just feel like i take one step forward and two back. have you started thinking about flying wires i'm looking at aeroscale for a set they seem to be a good choice for scale.
if you haven't already measured please keep me in mind i would like to compair notes with you. i would hate to spend that much and then not be right. two heads are better then one i think in this case.
the barth parts sheet says 10 wires at 800mm is that just wire lenght or mounting point to mounting point.
thanks,
chris melhus ceije 196
