Default Waco Arf

Who makes a Waco ARF in the 80"-90" wing span range? Any help would be appreciated.

Doane,

I do not believe there are any Waco ARFs in that size range currently being produced. You also need to specify which model (version) you are interested in as Waco produced many, many different models (over 100) that range approximately from 29'6" to 34'9" in wingspan, both open cockpit and cabin models.

Currently the closest would be the SIG SRE ARF with a 69.5" wing span. http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmar...FV4.html?E+Sig

A 90" span Waco YMF (open, 30'0") is 1/4 scale, the SRE (cabin, 34'9") in 1/4 scale is 104.24", 1/5th scale is 83.4". COX had the Pica YMF in both 1/6th (60") and 1/5 (72") but they have now been discontinued.

Check the House of Moy site http://www.houseofmoy.com/waco/ for a list of plans, kits and other sources of info.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check those resources and see what I can find. I have twins, pattern, and scale models and would sure like to add a bi plane to the mix.

You might check this site: http://www.amr-rc.com/ to see if they are still in production.

At present, AMR offers the Waco YMF in both the 33% and 40% versions. Neither of which fit within his requirements as to span. These are full kits, and not an ARF.

Doane

Is this what you're looking for? It's a 100" span ARF and absolutely georgeous. I've seen it on display at Hobby Lobby International here in Nashville.
