RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
After a little dirt oval racing today. Before you ask, it doesn't corner at all and loses tons of speed. It pulls like a mother on the straights though, so it all evens out.

I heard that. I have a new/un-touched LE body I intend to never use...those things are nearly impossible to get a hold of.

Man i've had that body for 2 years now and its still unpainted, i cant make up my mind on what to do with it. It does come with some nice flame decals pretty much like the paint job you have in mind. Another thing i like about this body is its hard as hell cuz the lexan is so thick.

Flames are lame . Yea hard to beat the pro line bodies they are .06 inches thick. I did mnage to break my crowd pleazer body though right where the rear body posts go every time. So im buying some reinforcing stuff and some foam to absorb impacts and make the body last buying a new body every month is sapping my upgrade fund lol. what do you think of the paint job pics I posted? I painted that today on transparancy film to see what it would look like turned out pretty good.

Flames are cool, real cool. Those flames on that decal sheet or whatever it is below that 50 Chevy suck. The flames on that pickup are sweet though.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
hey lewis,
If your referring to the cuda. I actually picked it up at a LHS. the hobby shop owner was having a summer clean up sale and needed space for 1/5 scales. Sold me the cuda as you see it for $20. the guy that does it normally charged $70.
If its the the truck its a proline ford courier. I went on painting the outisde of the body to achieve that junker truck look. here's a vid of it in action

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
hey guys, I am hoping someone can help me out. I bought a savage 4.6 on e-bay last week. not sure if it is a ss or x or what. has allot of mods. anyway I had to take out the rear diff and replace a bearing. the thing was apart for close to a week. now I am putting it together. the rear shock towers seem to be held to the bulkhead with just 2 screws. seems kind of flimsy. I coulod have sworn there was some sort of support brace back there. and I have two left over screws. all the exploded views I have seen show nothing, and don't look like the rear, but the front. does anyone have a close up shot of the rear shock tower and bulk head, bumper area they could post or send?. I am really getting frustrated with this and have no books. I looked at the hpi web site under all the savages none of them look like what I have here. the shock towers and bulks are plastic so I think they are stock.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
thanks sportsfan. I think I got it figured out. the brace does not exist. I was imagining it, because of the two screws I had that don't have a home. and the read shock tower seems to have allot of fore and aft movment. I guess that is just the way it is with the stock towers and bulks. I found where the two screws went, and it is all ready for me to take it out and break it again.
here are some pics, I think it is just a plain old savage 4.6, but if anyone out there knows diffrent, please let me know.
