i gotta agree with claymer on this, do you have any proof?
from your pics i see nothing that would even push 50.
Huge over weight tires, crappy pipe, to high of a center of gravity, and a sure fire 32 really? at best i see it topping 48mph if that, for these cars there so small they seem like there going much faster then they seem, just from the pics i say no more then 48 mph, you have to much against you.
Sorry if this seems i'm bashing you but don't brag if you don't have nothing to back it up.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
mechanically.....(i.e. straight RPMs to tire roll out with all gearing calculated) if he had a 3speed with HS 3rd, and 16/46 gearing (robinson racing Sav25 combo), assuming a 6" diameter on those tires (slightly smaller than big joes which are 6.4") if he could get a motor to turn 40,000 RPM's it *could* hit 60.....(63.04mph calculator says) however, using that same calc vs what I know my savvy runs, with an LRP, the best I'm guessing it's getting for RPM's is about 36,000, which puts it at about 48 by math but 40.9 by police laser gun. Assuming that the percentage that it's off by is across the board the same, the setup that "could" hit 60, will only make about 53mph, you'd need to crank out about 54,000 RPM's (or gear so tall it'd take a quarter mile to get the thing moving)
the brushless one, yes, nitro, not likely....

SPECS: Tire- Outer Diameter: 7.01" (177mm) Inner Diameter: 4.4" (112mm) Width: 2.84" (72mm) Wheel- Outer Diameter: 4.4" (112mm) Width: 2.84" (72mm) Mounting Style: 17mm Hex Style
But like I said in my previous post, these have to be one of the heavies sets of tires I have ever seen. There is no way that truck is ever going to see 60mph even if it was geared to the hilt. he would run out of radio range before it hit 60.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
On the math side of it, if they're 7"OD tires, 60's attainable much easier, but, like you said, they're heavy and the motor doesn't have that much grunt, especially not a .32, a .21 might have enough RPM's to get it, and a brushless conversion definately would.....

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
I am going to say that the savage is not designed for 60. Not that I dont think the chssis will handle it but anything over 50ish is a lot of wind to push and the savage is a wall.
His 32 is not going to so it just like my ClockWorks modded Picco 28 will not. Is my 28 capable of pushing 60, oh yeah it is, will a savage do 60, sure it will on the right day with a tail wind.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
it'll do it......my XL when I had a 1620kv brushless motor with a 20T pinion and 48T CB was hitting 70's before I had to let out of it for fear of losing control on 6S LiPo.....but, that's WAY too fast for a savvy....and I actually twisted 3 of 4 hardened dogbones just shy of 3/4 of a turn when I slammed throttle wide open, did a double backflip (on flat pavement) and then landed and tore off....but, that proved that just because I can make something go that fast doesn't mean I ever should.....

Video?? I would love to see a 70MPH Savage. I just think that it is impossible to do.

The Revo is a much better platform for speed then the savage and the fastest nitro revo is Over_revO's Picco .28FTT AB Drag modded clocking in at 66mph and the fastest E-revo witha MMM is 64mph I believe (I know Over's truck is faster even if it is a nitro)

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
Who is bashing? Just stating a fact. MAny of us have Savages that are moded to the maxx and dont come anywhere near 60mph. If you are going to state something out of the ordinary you should be able to back it up. If he can get 60mph out of the Savage the rest of us need to know how. Now if someone sees his setup which says 60mph they might want to do the same setup and will be very dissapointed. Just looking out for others thats all.

Guys, its a pic thread... Start a new thread rather then derailing a longstanding pic thread.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
agreed, instead of just deleting the posts, how about delete them, and edit the original post that was an obvious lie and sparked the debate to not include his BS'd speed claims....so that others don't look at the setup and think they can achieve the same

WOW you really know how to charm someone. Can we say Bye Bye! You wont get far name calling expecially with the mods. Dale Gribble is here for a reason. Its to control people like you from getting out of hand. If there is a place for him to have control its here.
