I dont think there is any different rims other than the IMEX rims.
Make sure your diffs are shimmed and ease off the brake for a more gradual takeup. The Kongs are HUGE and heavy as well. I use mine sometimes and found that without the above mods the diffs would fail quickly.

I love em!
i just dont use them that often, they do slow the car down. They make it "different" when jumping.
But they look GREAT!!

can someone tell me the purpose for these tires ? cos they are heavy as hell and they make the truck slow as . as i discovered when i bought jumbo imex tires myself , yep they look really cool but you really need one hell of a serious nitro motor to get them going . all i can see is that these tires will stress the crap out of the nitro motor and nothing else

Go dual engine! FTW!

Yes, those big wheels are best suited for gas RCs and not nitro RCs.

they gotta be just for show.i agree the bigger the tire the harder it is on the whole trucks drivetrain and engine.
probly need like a .32 engine and 13/52 gearing just to get some decent acceleration out of them.

If u keep the normal geering, there will be slow acceleration but it will be very fast on the top end.

Well said, amec! They're a novelty, just like the tires with the flame tread pattern and RPM's Dirty Danglers. They're fun to mess around with, but definitely not for everyday use.

We (Slap Ma Fro!) used them a couple times in our videos, feel free to check them out at www.slapmafro.com. Most recently in the "Farm Bash 8" vid on a Hot Bodies LSP and Losi LST, and a couple years ago in the "Rush" vid on a Savage.

To give everyone an idea of the weight difference between Kongs and other wheel/tyre's. I run a set of 40 series wheels with bowtie type tyres. Sometimes i run my Kongs.
My set of 4 40 series wheels/tyres weighs less than 1 Jumbo Kong wheel/tyre

P.S. I was quite upset when i found out Slapmafro store is closing down. I like shopping with them. Good prices and the quickest shipping i have seen whilst shopping online.

Thanks for the kind words, amec! We're certiainly disappointed as well, but it had to be done for a couple different reasons. Thanks a lot for the support!
