Removing aluminum arms from Metal gheared servos
Hi Danny,
I have some JR DS3421 servos with matching H9 aluminum arms on them. I am having a very hard time removing those arms from the servos. As a matter of fact I have some where they just won't come off without damaging the arm or servo case [] . Any ideas about the best way to remove these without harming either one ?
Thanks

RE: Removing aluminum arms from Metal gheared servos
I usually use one of these methods, or both. One is to grab the servo arm at the futhest most point out with one hand, hold the servo with the other, and rock the arm up and down. The other method is to use a flat bladed screwdriver and pry up on the arm gently between the arm and the servo case, using care not to damage the arm, case, or servo spline with the screwdriver. Neither method requires brute force. Just work slow using care not to damage the arm or the servo.

sure looks like a modified crown puller would work .
(These are also used to pull the pinion gear from small electric motors)
Horizon could easily have these made up if demand warrants.
