I now have several flights on my modified Kadet Senior. Not much else to report.

Flying season is over, here. I plan to spend the Winter getting things ready for next year.

This includes a Rascal 72 ARF, that was given to me by a friend. It's ready to fly, but I want to change a couple things to my liking.

I now have to get my planes winterized since they are stored in my trailer in the barn over winter. Need to pull the LIFE batteries, and put a store charge on them, and run some fogging oil through the motors. Pull the battery out and bring it downstairs so it doesn't discharge and freeze on me. With the short day light hours,I am finding the solar panel is starting to put a drain instead of charge on the battery too. There is a digital volt readout, and the charge regulator for the panel that consume a little bit of energy in the dark. I could just pull the ground and keep it in, but it's an AGM and not a cheap battery.

The weather these past two weekends totally buggered up all plans to get some needed work done. I need to repair the waterline tot he barn before it gets too cold, and with the rain, it turns the trench to mud. Hopefully I can get the hole drilled through the foundation and feed a new line out and get it done and back filled, but supposed to rain again this weekend. I also need to wash and condition the roof on my travel trailer, but thats not happening either.

Well i have been blessed with work and took apart the basement to rebuild storage for planes and I haven’t has time to finish that. So I need to clean out shop put stuff away (so i can dig it all out again) clean off the bench and finish a sig cub and start the build on a hog, king cobra, and hope to pic up and build a new GeeBee and spacewalker. Sounds like a lot i now but I don’t have anything to play in the snow, so I build. About the only thing did get done this fall is to build a couple of high compression saito 180 with CH ignition. Ran one the other day and WOW the new GeeBee is goito be fast. So with that sad I should be posting pics of builds in the future.

I'm in kind of the same boat, sort of. I'm working on and/or building several scale hydroplanes and, with my work schedule, it's a slow go. Once I get one or two of them finished, I'll be dragging out my twin Kadet Jr builds so I can try to get them in the air next spring

Here are a couple of photos that I took on the wing detail of my Sig Morrisey Bravo. I've been working on this project for three years now and it will soon be completed! If anyone's interested here's the link to my thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/kit-...avo-build.html

Pretty much done flying here. Might get another day or 2 in possibly. Getting pretty cold out. I’ve got an Astro Hog that’s 3/4 framed up. Just going with Monokote on this one. Then I’m moving to a bigger project by the first of the year. Either an Alien Aircraft Arrowmaster of an old Pica 1/5 scale Aeronca Sedan. Koverall and dope will be used.

I started a P-51B in 2011. It is still pretty much where I left it in 2012.

I force myself to finish them, but my work shows it.

Right now, I'l assembling a 20 year old Hangar Nine 100" Super Cub. I like Cubs, but this kit is not good. i just can't get fired up about it. It's near completion, and it will get completed, but, lately, Netflix has been more interesting. LOL

Do what I do Tom, get a small 20" TV and a Roku and stream Netflix or Amamzon while building.

I have a 46" Sony, in my shop. It's hooked up to cable. Netflix is on the TVs, in the house. I had Chromecast, but I gave it to my daughter.

This Cub just doesn't evoke much of my interest. I'll get back to it soon, as I don't plan to start any new builds over the Winter.

I made the statement, about not building, last Winter, too. I built a 1/4 scale Cub. LOL

I have several "finished", but unmaidened air frames. This Winter, I hope to get them to the point where they (or at least a few) are actually ready to fly.

I got a 104" Cessna Airmaster ready, just before flying season ended. Engine issues popped up at the field. That has been remedied, but our flying weather is gone.

In the hopes of preventing a re-occurrence of this event, my plan is to get a few of these models checked out, and up and running, before Spring.

If I complete these tasks, I do have a kit, or two, that could end up on the building board.

Clipped wing Astro Hog in progress. How did the clipped wings happen, you ask? Let's just say that things did not work out as originally planned. The modification was the recovery.

Only been about 2 years now. Seems that's about the usual time these days to complete a plane. Things are going quite quickly since the Dynaflite Super Decathlon which was over 7 years.

Following this Hog is a Hog Bipe. My second., Unfortunately, even though laser cut, poor fit on many of the fuselage parts.

.

I once had a control line, clipped wing, Veco Tom Tom. It became a clipped wing version after an altercation with a tree .

Had a good session in my workshop today. All the major parts for the 4*60 are built. Fin and stab just need sheeting, and the top and bottom sheets for the fuse still need to be done, but the epoxy is setting, so cant sand the tri stock to shape just yet. Wing is glued as one now, waiting on the epoxy to fully set so I can open the area for the retract servo, get that installed then sheet the bottom and finish sand it. About another 8 hour session and it should just about be ready for covering. Need to pickup a 12 ounce tank, then I can fully assemble and have it ready for flight. I think 3 maybe 4 days of workshop time is all I need, depending on how far I take the covering, which I have not decided on what colors or pattern.

So, curiosity is truly getting to me - how DO you come up with a clipped-wing astrohog? (and I just know I'm going to be sorry I asked).
