Top-Flite Cessna - Engine selection
All,
I am in the early stages of building a Top-Flite Cessna 182 and am trying to make up my mind on the engine to use. I have a SuperTigre G75 new in box and thought I'd use it but Top-Flite / Tower seem unable to supply the incowl muffler and header for it.
I also have a new-ish OS 91FS w pump in my Spacewalker (which I fly a lot) but am loathed to remove it, even though I could probably bolt the G75 in there to replace it.
Lastly, I have an OS 1.20FS w pump in my Stearman (which I hardly ever fly). I do wonder though it a 120 wouldn't be somewhat excessive for the Cessna.
Since I'm building the Cessna as scale as I can, I don't want to have to cut the cowl for a protruding engine head or mufflers.
Choices, choices, choices ............
Any suggestions?
Ari

RE: Top-Flite Cessna - Engine selection
Top-Flites incowl muffler turned out to be too restrictive for the .75 size engine. Worked OK with a .60.
I used an OS.91 Surpass in mine and it was perfect.
