Default What Size Wheels?

I just finished my Senior telemaster a couple of weeks ago. I put the 3.5 inch wheels on it as the plans specify but i want to put bigger ones on it. Ive seen a couple of telemasters used as tow planes and they have really big "balloon" wheels kinda like a bush plane. I attached a photo i found on the net to see if anyone could give me some suggestions on what size and brand of wheel i should get. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jared

The Piper cub wheels put out by dubro and GP are alot fatter than the standard 3 1/2. Plus they come with yellow hub caps. Alot more pricey than standard wheels but perfect for your use.Lets not and say we did!

I think the Dubro 'Big Wheels' in 4 inch size would be a very good choice. They are air filled and pressure can be adjusted. IMHO they are the perfect tire for my Midwest Super Stearman. About $14.

I second the Dubro Big Wheels!!!
I almost bought a set for my Cub but went with the 1/4 scale Cub wheels instead. The Big Wheels are cheaper and you can probably get away with 5" wheels if you wanted. They would make for easy take-offs on grass.
Good Luck!!

I have a set of the biggest Dubro Cub wheels on my Bridi stick with Homelite 30. I sure like them better than the Dave Brown 5" that used to be on it. The wheels are great.

Enjoy,

Jim
