Default 4 star 40 maiden

If anyone is considering the 4* .40 kit... I built one over the past few months and flew it first time today. I was ready to move from my trainer (tower 40). Very easy to fly with no bad habits on takeoff (this being my frist taildragger)... slows down real nice with no tendency to snap on landings. I even did some roles and split s's. To chicken for inverted flight yet [sm=72_72.gif]. A couple things have changed on her since these pics were taken but it came home in two pieces!! fuse and wing.. woo hoo... I'm hooked... no more pushing a trainer the sky... feel like i went from a cadillac to a porsche. Respone is quick and tight, from what I'm used to.

I've built a 4*40- & 4* 60 I loved them both!! Very easy to fly. After ya get used to it you'll find out it will fly inverted as easy as anything!! However I never could get a decent knife edge !!! Unfortunately, both met untimely deaths, the 40 was pilot error, the 60 was knocked out of the sky bya newby (he said,I didn't know that would happen!!) The 40 will give you many hours of fun !!!

Nice 4* - I'm getting ready to Bash a 60 - fly your 40 for a while and look into customizing a 4*60 (search here for 4*60 bashing). Shorten the WS, enlarge the rudder and elevator for snappier response....better knife edge.

ENJOY!
