I'm building my first kit (Sig 4* 60). I'm using wood glue to build this kit. The instructions only talk about CA glue and call for going back over every joint (both sides) and re-gluing at the completion of the wing. Do I have to do this if I'm using wood glue?
Second, what is the easiest/best way to attach the canopy?
Thanks for the advice.

I do not believe that it would be necassary to redo every joint if you are using wood glue. The wood glue will add more weight than CA. Just be sure and clamp the joint securely until the wood glue is dry.
The canopy can be secure a glue called RC 560 ( I think) or with small screws

carsondoc. I have used "wood glue" (elmers glue-all) on all my planes and not had a filure due to the glue. Had some because of the joint being bad, but the glue did not fail. I've tried the CAs and use them to "tack" parts togeather, but always go back and glue-em with elmers. CA fumes makes my head hurt, and I can't see it once it drys. I'm never sure of its structural integrity especially on a less than perfect joint. Any good white/yellow 'wood glue" is all ya need IMO. Problem is that it takes a long time to dry. Using a CA to hold things togeather while the real glue is drying, just lets me move-on to the next step sooner. Basically I do my re-glue with elmers when I'm using CA to "tack". If I'm not in a hurry, I just use the elmers and there is no need to re-glue joints that gravity does not effect. You will always have to turn the wing over and re-glue the other side, then let that dry.
