Sig-Midstar

It was my second kit (after an LT-40) and I still fly it. Great second airplane (trike or taildragger) with the CG forward and reduced throws. Increased the throws, moved the CG back, and it'll do some interesting stuff. It's also pretty durable which is great for a second plane.

Sig 4*40 sound like a good choice. I also think a Sig SE with the stock CG and low rates is an excellent choice. The SE is a dream to build and the finished model flies great! The SE is one of the easist to land model out there.

Cheers!

4*40 gets my vote as well. I put mine together in 4 evenings of work.

The 4*40 should be nice, then there's also the Goldberg Tiger2, really nice plane, flies like it's on rails.

Sig Something extra, Easy to build and with low rates and a forward cg easy to fly. The 4 star 40 is an excellent plane as well. But the something extra is a little easier to build I think!

I agree with major tom. easy sport. mine has a TT46pro, and flies great. I made the rudder bigger and put a servo in each wing. One of my favorites.

easy sport
and another and still another

I also fly a Tower Hobby Apprentice with a 46FX and tuned pipe (haven't seen that one mentioned, but it builds really easy with a foam wing and box fuse) - built it with 0° dihedral and fiberglassed the wing. Vertical rocket. It's hit the bean field, a few hard landings and lots of abuse and just keeps going. Very durable.
