I know a guy that makes Carbon Fibre landing gear. He does a good job and will do custom gear for a very reasonable price. I don't have his email offhand, but I can call into work and get it if necessary.

Try TnT Landing Gear. They have a web site and web ordering system. I have used their products and am extremely pleased with them. Prices are reasonable, too.

My 4*60 stock landing gear works great off a fairly rough grass field. One thing you can do is get some longer screws some 3 small springs (that will support the weight yet flex under pressure. and 3 washers. Put one washer over each hole against the landing gear blcok. Then take your springs and put them between the washers and the landing gear itself. put the screws in and tighten them down against the spring. You now will have shock absorbing gear.

Ditto on the TNT gears. They also sell fiberglass gears that are very strong and light.

Make sure your wheels are big enough too. The easier they roll, the less stress on the landing gear. I would use at least 3 1/4" if the grass is rough.
