Cool group I have always loved the Ultimate. I built one in the 90's it was my pride and joy. Been collecting to build another, looking forward to reading and seeing what is being done and improvements folks have been doing. Been out of the hobby over 15 years just set up a new shop in the new house I hope 16x16 will be enough space. would share some pic but I'm new.

Thank you!
Power is from an O.S. OMA 5025-375 Brushless Motor with CC ICE 75 esc and Zippy 6s 5000 LiPo. APC-E 16x12 or 17x10. 63 amps witch gives about 1500 watts.
I have never flown a 120 4-stroke, but I think my setup is at least equal in power.

Going to add this one to my list of planes to try to make shirt kits for with my new laser cutter. I need to repair mine and it needs new parts from the cockpit forward as well as a few new ribs.

Carl Goldberg Ultimate Bipe fiberglass Cowl
Just looking through the forums on this plane. I have a fiberglass cowl for this plane if anyone is interested in purchasing. I purchased the cowl at a swap meet because I thought it was for the CG Extra 300. Let me know if you're interested.

Hmmm
So what is it about these that everyone loves so much? And why are the original cgm kits selling for so much cashish? I love cgm stuff but $300 for a twenty year old kit! Please tell me what I'm missing people? I have a built and unflown bird with a.90 supertiger that I'm going to go through this winter, what's different about this experience than say an extra or a vintage pattern plane?

Today a Chinesse manufactured RTF Ultimate of the same size of the CGM one shouldn´t sell for less than $400-$450 and a kit -if it existed- never below $300-$350, so $300 for a vintage and genuine CG Ultimate untouched kit is really a very, very good price. I am afraid the era of $500 50cc RTF aerobatics models became to a finish some time ago......

I believe this cowl may be for the ultimate kit, and not the 10-300. I will be posting it today w/pics, and I'm asking $40 obo w/shipping in the 48 us states.

Gentlemen (and I do use the word loosely, haha)
I've got a quandary.. Too long ago to remember I bought a CG Ultimate kit (obviously Not NIB, read on) planning to build it. Been 8 years since I moved (with the kit) and still haven't done anything with it... Decided it's time to S*** or get off the pot. Sell it...Yea. Opened the box, and discovered there's s few minor things missing (mostly wood items). Big items missing are the canopy, landing gear wires and possibly a hardware bag???.
So I, priced out a replacement canopy from Fiberglass Specialties, and a gear from TNT Landing gears. Adding those costs, to what I hoped I might get to sell and ship it, I don't believe the numbers will work. Seems my options are, buy what I need, build it and fly it or trash it and build one of the many (NIB) others I've got.
Obviously the Ultimate flies well and is quite popular.. based on the size of this forum.
Share your thoughts, please
Thanks, Got2retire
(actually did) and still haven't got them all built

The missing hardware pack wouldn't be a big deal to an experienced builder - clevis's, screws, etc can be had elsewhere. However the 2 aluminum cabanes (A-frame pieces) and the thin plywood turtle deck are two of the more critical items imo. I'd think if you got a replacement canopy and gear and the only thing then missing was a hardware pack, I'd think you'd still fetch a good price when selling. Many builders will scrap the wire landing gear in favor of aluminum or carbon.

Would also sell as is for those who have a wrecked one and want to rebuild it. I would offer for it, but am broke at the moment and Christmas is coming. Don't despair, it is still worth more than you think as it is. Hardest things to come by are the cut pieces, plans and manual, e3verything else can be acquired.
