Anyone breaking CVDs?
I was out in the mountains of California recently and broke a right rear CVD shaft right at the point it notches off for the pin at the wheel side. It happened over quite smooth terrain and the truck has never gotten more than a foot or so off the ground its entire life. The replacements were $36 and they seem to be made of a slightly different material than that of the originals so I'm wondering if they changed the design.

RE: Anyone breaking CVDs?
I broke one of the CVD's when I first got the truck. Apparently they have changed the design. I have been using the new ones for some time now and not had one problem with them. [8D]

Yay, I get to spend an extra $72 to get a truck that performs as it should stock. I love being an early adopter. :|

Yes losi did improve the cvd 's, but I hopped up to the MIP CVD's and never broke one. I have however need to get a rebuild kit for one since one of the pins did strip out.

If you send your broken parts to them, you'll get new ones back in the mail

Heck mine broke while turning on grass during break in. I was told at the time that breaking cvd's ia a common thing and easy to replace. That is when I went to the MIP line.
