Futaba new T6J 2.4GHz
Futaba showed their new 6ch 2.4GHz at Tokyo model show in this Oct. The protocol is not FASST but FHSS. The antenna is concealed unlike current outside stick type.

RE: Futaba new T6J 2.4GHz
. The protocol is not FASST but FHSS.
It may be just marketing - dropping the FASST name and replacing it with FHSS.
Did Futaba confirm the new system is different (i.e. not compatible) from FASST?

RE: Futaba new T6J 2.4GHz
Futaba has other non-FASST FHSS radios.
For example: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...SM&C=JEN&V=FUT
They are FHSS but they are not FASST compatible. FASST is a true brand ID now so I doubt they will drop it for the more generic FHSS.

RE: Futaba new T6J 2.4GHz
i just bought the 6j 2 weeks ago and put it on my cessna 26cc gas plane and it works great its my first futaba it was super simple to program has great distance the only thing i didn't like about the radio was the knob in the middle that comes from factory set as flaps its alittle bit of a pain to try to put on your flaps with that knob without takinging ur hand off the stick but the good thing is i was you can change your flaps from a knob to on of the switches but all around its a awsome radio at a awsome price
