ExtremeFlightRC Electric F3A plane the Vanquish
Went by and saw Chris yesterday at his shop. He is about to release a new pattern F3A plane called the Vanquish. It looks great and is suprisingly large.
From Extremeflightrc:
SNEAK PEEK OF THE VANQUISH F3A
Introducing the Extreme Flight RC Vanquish F3A! This stunning new airframe delivers laser-like precision aerobatic performance as well as the ability to fly graceful Artistic Aerobatic figures or “down and dirty†3D maneuvers. The Vanquish is a state-of-the-art performance machine which features a beautiful CAD designed structure and ultra modern construction techniques and the finest in materials to deliver a lightweight yet robust airframe. A 2 piece wing mounted on a carbon fiber wing tube makes for easy transport, even in the smallest of automobiles, and the quick access hatch makes changing out batteries quick and easy. And best of all, an experienced modeler can have this gorgeous ship ready to fly in as little as one evening! And to all you pattern competitors out there, get the competitive advantage over your adversaries by having the ability to practice your pattern schedule before work, during lunch break or on the way home at the local park or school yard with a machine that will mimic the performance of your high dollar composite ships. You’ll be surprised at the difference this can make in your scores!
Wingspan: 48 inches
Length: 53 inches
Wing Area: 425 sq. inches
Weight: 43-46 oz. with battery

Ryan, et al:
I have read that a 2m version will be available later. No other details however, maybe Chris can elaborate.

I got an email that these kits were in last evening & I called Chris after 8PM & he was still at his shop so I pulled up to the doors to grab one.
These things looks GREAT! The size is larger than the Brio. WOW a EXTREME FLIGHT RC Pattern plane. I will put a mini build thread together in the ELECTRIC PATTERN room. I am going to fly it this weekend & report Monday.

Well Sports Fans.... ,
Dentdoc stayed up till 2am last night to put the Vanquish together. Today in 10mph winds he flew the FAI "F" and "P" patterns with it a couple of times as he practices for the upcoming Pattern contest season and his goal of competing in the FAI team selections in July.
What a neat airplane!!! 48" span, about 46 ounces all up weight and it looks and flies just like a 2meter ship.
Here's a close up photo of DentDoc's finished plane:
No, that's not DentDoc in the photo. He told me I wasn't smart enough to operate the camera so he got me to hold the plane for him to take a picture to show it's relative size. For those of you whom I haven't met, I tower over Shaquille O'Neal at a mighty 9 foot 7 inches in my stocking feet, which should help you get some perspective on the real size of this plane:
