Default QQ aircraft. The End?

Is this for real? Has Mr Somenzini and his companion stopped the company?

Yea I figure someone else will pick him up and back him, the planes will be manfactured by a big company like Horizon, like they went together with Carden, don't know if that the way it will be or not just a thought.

Tailspin,

Here's hoping you don't get into Extreme Flight! [sm=bananahead.gif]

Well, if a place like Horizon picks him up, that'll increase the availibility of the product. Anyone know what happened?

So he is closing his doors but isn't really saying that???
"Wayne is retiring and I of corse will be in the industry" ?????
"I will have some exciting news"???
like what? "I will be having a blast, not having to run this fliping circus of a bussiness on a daily basis??"

There goes some really exciting plane designs down the Toilet!

I am sure that this company will not be the last in the upcomming months....

I will Truly miss his color schemes.... What a loss...

color schemes.... ? I don't care what color they are...I'm going to miss their well tested build and flight schemes. Not real comfortable with the support lose for the Python I just bought. Guess if I smash the cowl or one of the wings somehow It'll likely be done, unless I find the time to renew my building skills.
Doesn't look like anyone becomes wealthy in our hobby. Too Bad.

All,
I was afraid this would happen, all good things must come to an end.

Kinda glad I didnt invest in a replacement 86" YAK, on to other planes.

I couldn't agree more.... but have you ever tried to cover a model like his with all those cuts and colors?? very Impracticle at the least...
No other manufacture has color schemes like is older models... and I doubt any ever will.... Probly too costly to make!!!!
I don't want anymore discontinued planes either!! Especially if I had just purchased one of QQ's and found out that it was no longer going to be produced!...

I know that QQ's will most likely start some more planes but to just drop his current line up completely???
Slap in the face completely...
I don't care what anyone says....
One would think that he would have a good reason for doing so. He isn't any different that any other ARF pruducer in that reguard though....
I could name off every importer for doing the same thing with NO warning or anouncement at all...

Wish him all the best...

IMO this is because of a BRAND issue, the company is not only owned by Quique, and now there is a problem between partners, so the brand is not going to produce and sell any plane more, but Quique will be in the business and he is going to sell another planes, as the agreement with the ending company will let him.

I don't know if he can sell Yaks in the future, or Pythoon, but one thing I can be sure, he is going to be in the business.

The very bad think is that he left us with our planes without any further support.

Regards

Jorge Medina

Now I understand why Reza did'nt respond to my post about my new Python. I just got everything needed to build it and now I don't know if I want to. I have a brand new in the box Python QQ scheme that I can't even get parts for if ever needed. I have bought a ton of airplanes from QQ and loved them all so this is a real kick in the ba**s.

Ummm. If you cant fly a plane without having to rely on spare parts availability, perhaps you should find another hobby.

I fly just fine, the point is things can and will go wrong and it's nice to have parts if ever needed.

Scott,

I know what you are getting at. I change engines often and usually each change requires a New Cowl. NO PARTS.....NO COWL! [:@]

Thats all I'm stating, thanks for the backup. I was never looking for insults or a fight. I love QQ airplanes and it's a shame that it's over although I do believe we have'nt seen the last of QQ. I bet he is back with great products again and hopefully soon. Kind of gives us something to look foward to.

So who here is flying which Somenzini design? I've had 2 102", Gen. 2 & Gen. 3 , a 86" , a 73" I believe it was and now the Python.
They all flew great for me.

I've never seen better support from any other company and that's one thing I loved about Somenzini's team. Molly and the gang were ALWAYS the best to talk to.

A few weeks ago I was looking to buy a yak that was out of stock. I asked is it going to come in during March like advertised. After a long quiet spell I was told to go with the other model that I was considering. Then I figured that something was not right! Lucky for me I found the Yak on RCU and bought it anyway.
I just really like the way these models fly. ( Makes me look like I know what I am doing)

The Yak is an awsome plane no doubt about it. My good friend who builds for me actually has my Gen. 3 and loves it. He builds kits from Carden and flys those too but still loves the Yak. ARF's have come a long way and for 3D Somenzini has an awsome product along with flying IMAC too. They're an all around great design.
