I think we in D5 are ready this year and hope to bring enough ammo to gun down the light weights from D4.

     After this past weekend contest, I feel like I just fought in the battle of Coral reef and now need to go to Midway! [:@]   Replaced servo and inserted backup motor.  Very little practice but let's go D5 and reclaim our Ryder Cup !!!

Pete the D4 Championships is a top contest. Last year we had a great 3 way battle for Masters. It's so cool that so many guys from all over can meet there. The shootout has the best site.
Doc you did have a bad weekend but I applaud your determination. Mike

When are some other Chicago area contests?  I know about the Jim Hubbard memorial, but my local contest is that same weekend.  Tara's brother lives in St. Charles and it might make a nice excuse to go see them.

Here's a pic of their field. It's a first class facility as good as they get. I'm hoping that Rusty pulls his usual promo job and gets some big guns there. I can only be there on the Saturday as I have a wedding to attend on Sunday. Mike

Will be arriving in Muncie Friday morning with my caller and pit crew to fly some practice. Does anyone know what time we could start flying Friday. I have a feeling D5 is not to know what hit them. As for the weather I hear it's always perfect for flying, beautiful blue sky, very low wind, but that's just what I hear since I have never flown there. Jim

Guys,

Trying to organize lunch for Saturday. Most of the time we had Pizza, would someone like something different. It will have to be brought in from outside so we are limited to things like Subs and pizza unless others can think what else they would like. Please let me know as I'm trying to figure this out as soon as possible.

Hey Andrew the lousybread with tomato sauce concoction that they have in Muncie which some refer to as Pizza is so bad that I don't want to insult real pizza by calling it such. With a large group coming from Chicago it's best to do Subs in my opinion. It's a Chicago thing that you'd understand if you lived here.

Subs sound good to me. I think it would be a nice gesture to the D5 guys to get lunch that's easy on the stomach due to the fact they are going to have heartburn and upset stomachs all weekend when they watch the D4 guys fly. Jim

New blood???? I don't know but I hope so. I heard some Peoria guys may be coming but can't confirm it. We had new blood in Milwaukee last wekend and man that was cool but the trip may be too much for the Wisconsinite's. I'm worried about the lack of response from my D5 friends so who knows.
