Default T-6010 Tuned Silencer for OS 1.40 - using it on a 1.60

I know thie pipe is for a 1.40 but I am using it on a 1.60. I try to tune it but I really do not see any rpm change when I move the pipe. I am pretty close to the recommended distance from the exhaust port. Is the 245mm a good number. Moved it about 1 inch both directions.

I tried tuning with an APC 17x12 W blade prop and was getting around 7600 rpm.

It seems it is a little more powerful if I run an APC 16x12 which tops out in around 8000 rpm. I did not try tuning with this prop.

Very likely, you're running the engine at a too-low RPM. The pipe for the 140RX was intended to add power when the engine was turning between 8,000 and 9,000 RPM. That makes the pipe + header too short for the RPM you're trying to run at.

Tried a 16x10 which helped a little and put the rpms around 8500ish. Performance was better but my Pattern plane lost speed in the vertical. Tried a 17x8 today and got great results. Peak rpm around 8500 but much more power in the vertical and was able to keep a comstant speed.

My only complaint is that when I go to full throttle on up lines there is a point where the engine hesitates but then gets through it.
