I would like to know if its me or did the internet just magically start getting a TON of commercials within the last two years? Surfing the web I have been getting a lot of local commercials. For everything. Click on a page and I have to fight to get to the page because 17 pop up commercials are trying to attack me (exaggeration). Youtube is starting to annoy the poop out of me with a commercial on every other video. Knew it would happen one day but why so soon...

i know, its very annoying, i run my PC without any sound most the time, so its not that disterbing, still its bull that it makes my computer run slower and pop out as im scrolling.

want me to buy something? the one that doesnt get in my way wins.

i need is a pop up vid that shows me how to install spell check though[:@]

LOL, Doesn't most windows has a spell check thing when You write in just about anything?? shows that lil red line below the word?

it must be very cheap compaired to other forms of advertising, and most the time, they sweep over the text your reading for you to accidently click them. all i know, for me, you cant make me buy something. but you can make me not buy something.

Even cable tv is sorry. Some news channels and football games, the commercials are just unreal. Sometimes it's 30% program and 70% commercials.

It's a tough economy, can't blame'em.

Ya noticed it too with the little bit of TV I watch
I hate how you gotta turn the audio to like 30-40 to hear the TV show than a commercial comes on and almost blows the damn speakers out.

Can't agree more! My mom just records shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition and watches them LATER to blast through the commercials

As for blastingly loud, reminds me of this commercial on TV with some old people watching some show and a loud commercial comes on. I think it was a device that turned the audio down [:'(]

i miss the smart sound my old tv use to have on it. i wonder why they dont still put them in tv's any more : P

kept the volume at a constant level even if a billy mase commercial came on.

another thing i was wondering about that, the channels that really support blasting the viewers with commercials, the show itself is quiet, and then the commercial blasts, makes me think that they purposely set the output low during the show, and then return it to normal at the commercials, which becomes loud since you've been compensating for poor sound levels. in short they are ruining their shows just to support ads.... BS

I'm pretty sure that the loudest a commercial can be is the loudest point in the program your watching. Not totally positive though.

yeah, so in order to make ads noticeably louder, you have to lower the program volume[:@]

GAWD, on-line commercials are everywhere! Go to any main search engine site where they have the news vids, and you immediately always start the vid with a commercial. And youtoob? You cannot watch any official vids without some commercial!

Oh man, dont get me strated on commercials. Why oh why do they have to yell at me? No I dont want to buy your product because I feel agressed more than anything else by your commercial.

And thats why I watch most of my shows through streaming. At most you have to put up with one commercial when you open the page and thats it. A sitcom takes me 22 mins to watch thanks to no commercials. A 1hr show takes 40 mins.

Justin.tv and sidereel.com are my two main sited for watching tv. IMO cable is not worth what they are asking for the service, I get all I need with my internet and just one bill to worry about.

i know, $80 for what? so you can see commercials.

i cant tell you how much it ticks me off when i wake up because the tv blares how i should collect on a drug recall, it makes my heart race and it takes awhile to fall back asleep.

i cant sleep without tv or music on with a fan running[sm=confused.gif]
