No, paint will chip and get road rash really easily then look like crap. Painted rims are a PITA. If you have to change them, powder coat is the way to go.

Don't paint them. Like Nitrohog said, if you want colored rims do it professionally. Paint will just chip off and you will look quite silly when that occurs :P

Paint them, so I have soemthing to laugh at.
Yeah, paint them, I want to laugh also
Black rims are very cool, if you ask me. Painting is crap, however.
Another in favor of powder coating.

Most of the places I know of would do it for around $75 per wheel, and they do very good professional work using the best equipment. I've seen services offered as low as $25 per wheel, but I can't vouch for the quality since I haven't experienced it.

75 seems a little steep, the wheels are only 16's

I like black wheels, but you need to power coat them, that finish is as tough as nail...well actually better then that. LOL And there are more then likely 30 different choices of black. Which means you can pick your favorite.

I dont think black rims would look good on your truck unless you repainted the truck. Just my opinion though.

Skip painting and powder coating all togeather and save enough money to get some real rims. No matter what you do to those, they'll still look like the stock wheels they are. And painted (colored) stock rims on such a plain (no offense intended there) truck will only look, well, cheep. But a nice set of custom wheels could really set the truck off. Just my opinion though.

I think a black chrome coating would look really good. But a subtle chrome, not bling bling.

I don't know, maybe I am in the minority here.. and probably does not apply here...
If you have high end racing rims, the general feeling toward powder coating is that the high heat needed for powder coating is not preferred.. so sometimes you see people actually prefer painted rims on their high end sports car.. (so there's no integrity issue with the rim under stress)
I am no expert on this, though...

IMO I would leave them stock. Or save up until you can lift it a little, etc.
