I wonder what people picture me based on my internet identity.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
So the steering wheel in my car is disintegrating. Basically the gray vinyl paint or coating is flaking off the wheel. It sticks to my hands, and chips of it end up on my pants like dull confetti. Of course it would eventually stop, but I'd be left with a mismatched black wheel in a gray car, and besides that the overall feel is abrasive and quite uncomfortable.
I tried a couple of cheap covers, but decided to invest in one of the do-it-yourself leather wrap kits. The final result won't look as good as a factory wheel, but as long as it holds up and looks better than the cheap covers, I'm all for it. The only downside is that it takes forever to install. I have to thread a needle through each tiny hole, and since I decided to go with the crossed pattern, I have to run two needles, not just one. More complicated, but it looks better. [&:]
This isn't like lacing a pair of shoes. I have to push the needle with a lot of force, then pull it all the way through while trying to avoid knots. I ended up rummaging through my grandmother's sewing kit and using a few of her ancient thimbles. I worked on it for about an hour and only made it about 1/8 of the way across, but there's a learning curve with these things and I'm pretty sure the rest will go faster. I just ran out of sunlight and the temperature began dipping into the 40s, making the leather stiff and difficult to work with.
Should be finished with it tomorrow though.

haha... I have a friend named Mark. We all love to call him Marky Mark, but he's been called that for years (like anyone else named Mark) and he hates it. Makes it more fun.
