Strangest thing you have driven yet
So what has to be the strangest thing you have driven yet....... I was thinking of back when I was 14 and driving better than 20+ year old college students in one of these things around a few hundred thousand dollars of lights in a TV studio

Probably has to be the strangest thing I have driven yet..... ya, i hope to keep my driving edge up, even though I will never be as good as my dad (the master )

Drove stand up forklifts, reach lifts(you go up with it), and neat little carts at Oreilly Auto Parts warehouse when I worked there. Messed around on the first gen segways too.

RE: Strangest thing you have driven yet
I have driven every kind of lift; fork, pole, squeeze, gas, electric, scissor, knuckle boom just about everyday for the past 10 years. They're not strange to me. The strangest thing I have driven yet has to be this little ride-on floor cleaner that look like a turtle. It's a Tennant T7 Fast. (But goes really slow)
It's one wheel drive. The front wheel propels as well as steers.

a telescopic handler with 5000kg in the front forks and then to lift it up the height of a big 3story house and position it firmly on a scaffold.....
part of my construction job requires me to have a ticket for this machine so i had to do the test (which i passed thank god) its cool cause the ticket is valid for life.
nothing weird about the machine but it sure was strange to drive and try to put that weight up there with out moving the light scaffold tey used for the test.......oh yes it also had a flat tyre on the day of the test ,i could have failed my test cause before i drove i was supposed to have seen that lol

Hey anything you don't commonly drive i consider strange . It is funny i drove an easily $50,000 lift around a few hundred grand in lights and equipment before I ever learned to drive a real car

As an armor crewman in the Army, the most badass thing I drove was one of these:

In this vid, it shows a really nice conceptual vid of how the high explosive anti-tank shell works. But the armor piercing fin-discarding sabot still rules when it comes to penetrating hard armor!

RE: Strangest thing you have driven yet
Not extremely strange or unusual, but I drove one of these around a jobsite a couple of times and it was a rather old and worn one.
Had to rev the guts out of it to keep it from stalling and the center steering took a while to get used to.
Plus all the linkages were very worn and it sounded like it was about to split in half whenever you went over a bump.
The most fun thing to drive would have to be one of these though.
My girlfriend managed to roll one, which is an achievement in itself.

Okay there ya go now I remember.
I had one of these and if you could NOT roll it was a feat in itself.
I think the skis were about 1 1/2 feet apart.
1971 Sno-Jet 1 cyl. and the carb was in your belly so when it backfired you got a face full of flame.
It also had teJ_onS backwards on the track so wherever I went it left a incriminating trail right to the house..
My friend had a Mach Z mixed with another sled - some hybrid thing he built.
Sounded like a mosquito on steroids. (kind of like our nitro R/C's but waay louder)
I see that one is a drag sled???

Strangest? only two things i've driven are 2 boats, an MG midget and an electric 40mph go-kart. i guess, for me, the strangest would be the MG, only because it was very different and new for me and a LOT harder to drive than the rest.

paddle wheel steamship for me, on the mississippi river no less, plodding along at a whopping 4 mph against the current, the guys that got to drive on the way back down were really hauling at about 9-10 mph. They claim it was a $60,000 boat originally with a 2.5 million dollar restoration in 2002 so it was by far the most expensive thing I have ever driven also.

I also got to steer a 3 masted sailing ship once but the captain was only an arms length away, cool anyway.

Fields all over the world tremble as they hear the name.[X(]
Man that is an awesome maching.
Never seen one like it before.
Kinda like an overgrown version of these little tractors I've seen them use on golf courses.

Cool, which one? Not too many of them still plying the rivers today. As a kid I used to love watching the Delta Queen go up and down the Ohio River. Got to see it again about 5 years or so ago but I think she's out of service now. Would have loved to pilot her, even for just a few minutes.
I also got to steer a 3 masted sailing ship once but the captain was only an arms length away, cool anyway.

Here in town we got the spirit of Des Moines a small rear wheeler that takes dinner cruises, with the bald eagles up and down the river its worth the money at least a couple times a year. I think the William Black is still running overnight cruises near Dubuque Iowa, and one I forget the name of out of Leclaire Wisconsin, being in Des Moines I am pretty much halfway between the missouri and mississippi rivers so we have ridden some on the Missouri river also
