Stunt kites
Anyone a stunt kite flyer? I would think that alot of R/C plane guys would be, if it's to windy to fly a plane you better beleive I'm flying my stunt kite. Just curious to see how many there are, and figured this would be the most appropriate place for it. I personally have two stunt kites, one has about a 3' 6" wingspan, and I know very little about it, and the other I just got, has about a 4' 7" wingspan. Heck, a stunt kite is sorta like a really low-tech rc plane

RE: Stunt kites
Sheesh, I was starting to think no-one else had one. I'd think that alot of the 3d stunt pilots flying foamies would love them due to the fact that lightweight electric planes don't handle wind well. I hadn't flown mine for a while either but in february I was on vacation and had the smaller with me, and I got a chance to fly it and really loved it, then I got the bigger one a couple weeks ago. It seems like I have more oportunity to fly the kites than I do my planes or my heli because of the almost constant wind!

RE: Stunt kites
I have to say, given how they react when the flip nose toward you, I'm tempted to stick a receiver, motor, and a cople micro servos on one to see if I can fly it like an RC plane, I bet it's feasable. Then again I have enough planes I can't fly when it's windy...
