Apparently there are people doing this with increases in mileage. Check it out.

Coincidentally, I say a program on "Mythbusters" last night on this. The result was that it had no effect at all on the gas mileage. There were several other gimmicks that were tested, each of which had no effect or reduced the gas mileage.

Yup, Mythbusters BUSTED this all to Kingdom come! I believe their mileage was actually LESS than using pure gasoline.

Acetone????? That will do a number on the many neoprene seals and gaskets in the fuel injection system.

Kind of like the condonsator they are selling here. Some guy up north invented it and is selling the heck out of them saying you will get 20% more mileage. Hate to say it, but if you believe that, i have some land I would like to talk to you about. It takes a certain fuel to air mixture to run the engine. A gimic in the fuel line somewhere isn't going to change that. I put a K&N air system on my truck, more for the performance than the fuel. It didn't change the mileage any, but it opened up the air system a little giving a little more pep and a lot more noise. If anything, I use more gas because it sounds so good when you step on it, that I step on it a lot more than I used to!
