"PAF" Flying Wing Electric R/C
http://www.hobby-lobby.com/paf.htm
I am considering the above plane from hobby lobby
can Someone give me some pro's and con's
its rather Expensive $299.00 but is supposed to fly for
30 minutes on a single charge.
I have flew Diamond Dusts, Shrikes I am decent at flying wing type planes
so i dont think I should have any problem.
this is not supposed to be a fast plane I am looking at it for
my backyard when i dont feel like driving 20 miles to fly.
I have also looked at the superfly and a few others but by the time you add
reciever, servo's battery's Etc your almost to where this plane comes RTF
Thanks for any and all replys

I don't see anything wrong with it other than it is a bit expensive.
I think the biggest problem you'll have with it is wind. At 6oz, it won't like even the lightest breezes, but it should work well for backyard flying.

Howdy,
I have been looking at something similar called a Sky Scooter Pro 2. It seems like it can do the same stuff, but for 159.00 you get everything including the radio. For me, It is a toss up between the SSP2 or Aerobird Challenger from Hobbyzone. I think You can't control speed with SSP2, but you can with ABC. These things are all just rial and error and spending lots of cash/crash. Thats all I have to say about that,
Mike

RE: "PAF" Flying Wing Electric R/C
picked one up this afternoon, all i can say is wow!
i had to land it before i needed to so i could take a break.
waited about 10 minutes tossed it again and flew till tired.
i bet i got 30 - 35 minutes of flight on 1 2.5 hour charge on the battery.
the red light had not went off on the charger so it hadnt
charged completly, book says 4 hours to charge
i did buy another battery but i dont think i need it
i got a 1200 ma second pack will probably fly an hour or more.
this wing will almost bite its own butt its quik when needed and will slow
to a crawl when needed.
havent tried to catch it by hand yet though like the guy in the online video.
